pretty soft wool but, it varies in thickness, parts of the ball of wool are thick, parts are thin, a bit like 2 ply & double knit all in the same ball of wool, all 9 balls i bought are the same. The knitted garment i made with this wool went big on a delicate wash, i dried it flat but it didnt go back to the size 12, i knitted, would say its more likea size 16 after washing, far to big for me, quite angry at all the hours i put in knitting it, its hard to get the tention right when the wool varies so much in thickness, wont use this brand again, id say its substandard. Will stick to the expensive crepe wool i normally use, ive knitwear over 10 years old made from crepe wool, still looks as good as new. Sorry, but its true what ive written, im afraid its 1 star only.

I am disappointed with this King Cole acrylic wool because it sheds very heavily. It is sold as a baby wool but I find that it is totally unsuitable for this purpose. It is also nowhere near as soft on the skin as other baby yarns. I am a charity knitter so use different types of wool on a regular basis. This is the worst product I have come across for its excessive shedding. I appreciate that it is sold at a fairly low price, but I definitely won't be buying this yarn again.

I bought this for my 85yr old mum who loves knitting and had run out of wool . As were all isolating I thought I’d send her some so my review on purely based on what mum has told me . She said they are lovely colours and she’s already knitted one little cardigan . I ordered peach and mint green. I have not seen it myself but my mum is happy so that’s 5 stars from me .

These wools came extremely quickly especially under the circumstances at this time. Wrapped well. Wool is very soft & the colours are beautiful & a little better than the picture. I would definitely recommend these wools & also the supplier.

The colour is exactly as depicted however I’m not convinced it’s double knitting as it’s quite thin. Unfortunately I don’t have anything to compare it with at the moment but as soon as I can get to the shops I will be checking it

Lovely baby soft wool, knits up well and extremely soft to knit with, using it double at present for a chunky knit baby hat and knitting up really well.

I made a jumper and hat for a baby and crocheted a table mat. I was very pleased with the quality of this wool.
