I use this late at night in my bathroom (only extraction fan in the house? On rocks and now have a dedicated box for spraying things in. It's brilliant! If in doubt of how well it works, I put the rocks I spray under the tap to find bits I missed on the particularly odd shaped ones and the proof becomes obvious very quickly. Anything this has reached is completely waterproof. This has set off a new creative outlet in my house, no big stone shall be left unpainted! I look forward to using it on much more as I do up my garden. So easy to use, really brings out the colour of my acrylic pens and much easier than painting on a sealant with drips, rogue brush hairs and brush marks, can only recommend this product

Worked a treat

This comes in a good size 400ml spray can, is easy to apply and goes on quite nicely. I'm using it to try and eek a bit more life out of an aging wooden bench, and as long as you give it a good shake the application is good. Obviously with spray-can lacquers you do need to make sure you use in a well-ventilated area, and I found that wearing a mask of some description was a good idea too. There is a reasonably strong smell when first applied but this diminishes quickly. It was touch dry pretty quickly, within half and hour.The only thing is that a spray option like this comes in a little more money that a brush-on lacquer, but for ease of use and quality of finish that's a small criticism.

I've used a lot of spray varnishes and lacquers over the years and this is a good one.It goes on smoothly and evenly, and the finish is really nice. It's totally clear, so there's no colour alteration when applying it, which makes it great for use on painted surfaces. It dries to a hard eggshell matt finish. I can't vouch for the UV protection, but I have no idea to doubt it.Overall, a really nice clear lacquer, perfect for DIY, arts and crafts. Do make sure you shake it well before use though. Shake it like your life depends upon it! And do ensure you're in a well ventilated area or are wearing a filtered mask.

Good lacquer spray, easy to use and can be used on most surfaces, even painted ones. Easy aerosol application gives a lovely, smooth & even finish which is very nice and protective too.Generous 400ml can, requires a good shake and preferably use outdoors or in a well ventilated room. Good comparable value at just under £10 (at the time of review). Would buy again and recommend.

I would have selected the gloss version, but only the Matt was available.I tested the lacquer on various surfaces. It seems several thin coats are better than a single thick one.The spray can seems to have a particularly powerful spray jet, so it is important not to get too close to the object else runs and blobs will easily occur.As expected, it has a pretty strong odour before it dries. As with all rattle cans, maintain good ventilation whilst using it! Also, a face respirator mask is recommended.It touch dries reasonably quickly, maybe 20m. Though full hardness takes much longer, maybe 24h or more? That is in winter garage temperatures. I’m sure in summertime it would be much faster. The 400g tin is a very good generous size compared with many rattle can sprays on the market. The dry finish seems to be quite durable.Don’t forget to shake it till your arm drops off prior to use! Also always hold it upside down and spray a few seconds until the nozzle is cleared after each use. This will avoid blocked nozzles in the future.On the whole, very good product but personally I’d prefer the clear gloss version. All matte lacquers always have a sort of slight milkyness due to the matt additives.I would definitely buy it again (but the clear gloss version next time for me).

The media could not be loaded.  I’ve used this with children (aged 7-10 years) to coat acrylic painted pebbles and stones to leave outside. It’s an effective seal against weather for at least a year. I’ve sprayed stones that I’ve used as markers in my allotment too.It doesn’t last forever but it does the job for a year.
