This air horn is a little smaller than I realized it would be, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in loudness! I'm sure my neighbors 2 blocks away heard me when I tested it out to make sure it worked! It came nicely packaged in protective plastic. It's super simple to operate, just press the button on top and cover your ears! And while I hope I never have to use it in an emergency, I'm thankful to have it on my boat to meet Coast Guard regulations, but it could also be used as a training aid for animals or personal protection when out walking because it can easily fit inside the pocket of a jacket. I'm not sure how long it will last though so I will only be using if and when I absolutely need to.

This air horn is super loud! I only briefly tested it but it sounds much louder than an average air horn. This is because it is rated for marine safety requirements. The horn is small and compact, easy to throw in your bag to be prepared for any kind of emergency. I got it just in case I needed it for some sort of emergency, and I know my chances of surviving in the event that I get accidentally stranded will be much greater now that I have this! Always be prepared!! I think it is completely worth the $14!

I bought this to use for emergency signaling while hiking or after a small airplane crash. I did the shortest test I could in my back yard, at arms length, and my ears are still ringing 5 minutes later. It is LOUD! It's small and lightweight, making it easy to carry, but I do wish it had some kind of safety to make sure that if you put it in a backpack it doesn't go off accidentally.

Got these to keep in the car for self defense. They are loud when they work but are not reliable. Many times the gas just shoots out the side. If your application does not require them to be reliable and you can fiddle with it to get it to work (maybe marine situations are not very urgent), then they are probably good.

It is easy to use but be careful when you test it. It is Loud!!!!!I got it for my boat to be able to pass the safety standards. Also, in case I need it. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the can is made to withstand the saltwater environment. I am going to keep it inside of a zip lock bag to keep it from corroding.

I just tested it after opening to check if it actually works, as from similar items, reviews I read that those small air horns may fail to work. I won't use it for marine purposes, but more for woods hiking to scare away wild animals eventually. It's small so easily can fit in any backpack.

I use this for sailing. It is perfect to throw into your bag and have on hand if you are a renter like me. Additionally if you are wanting to keep this in your glove box on your boat or if you just don’t want to take up additional space this is perfect!
