Homer's Odyssey

This is a great, easy to read version, let down very slightly in my opinion, by the use of the odd modern slang word, or northern phrasing.Do not let the above our you off, it is a great read.

I have a high regard for Simon Armitage and this translation is a testament to his creativity. The language may not be of Homer per se but it relates the age-old tale as real page turner and should make it accessible to a lot more people. A thoroughly good read, grab a copy now.

I loved this, Simon Armitage updated the language to make it palatable to modern readers but the story and the characters have remained.
