Your browser does not support HTML5 video. *New 1 Star Review*TOTAL GARBAGE. DO NOT BUY. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION IS A LIE.In my original review below I said possibly this pump could work if you reduced the hose from 1/2" I.D. hose(smallest fitting provided with pump) down to 1/4" I.D. with reducing fittings. The result? STILL CAN'T REACH STATED 5 FEET HEIGHT! I filmed a video of me testing the unit with a 5' length of 1/4" I.D. hose and it can only push to 4' high even though it's only moving half the volume of water now. In the video I move the hose lower by a foot to it's max water level, and the water only just trickles out, moving possibly 20 gallons an hour, that's 1/20th what they claim this thing can do! A drinking fountain would put this pump to shame!*Original 2 star review*"Claims to lift water up to 5 feet, I think the only way this can be achieved is if you get a reducing coupling and reduce the hose diameter to 1/4", with 1/2" hose that fits the adapter the height at most is about 3 1/2' and dribbles out at best. Claims to move 400 GPH, I have fish tank filters that move about 40 GPH and this pump is about on par with that(as long as your application is horizontal).Gave it 2 stars as it operates quietly, and can serve other applications for me later, such as a horizontal water circulation pump for an aquaponics system."

Really nice pump for the money! But...please read review
So this is a really great pump for the money and I even bought two of them. One for a fish tank and one for a aeroponic's system for starters. Now the pump is really quite with nice pressure and nicely compact. So that being said i gave this pump 5 stars because it delivers everything that it states what it is and does. But here is a little knock i have and i think this might only be a issue for me because i live in the United States but for the most part we are on a standard measuring system. So i needed to retro fit my pump to fit one of my application and i could not find any fitting that would fit into the female part of the pump because it is metric. So it was a little tedious trying to make it work for me but i came up with a solution. With that being said its a great pump but expect speed bumps if your thinking this will be compatible with all plumbing. Oh i also noticed that there is no pre-filter sponge, not a deal breaker but most pumps do.

Working perfectly
so far 24 / 7 is not an issue with this pump. I have found this to be the case with all of these small pumps. the problems arise when the pump is allowed to run dry... Since the liquid that is being pumped is what lubricates the pump bearings and cylinder, it is only natural that a pump will fail if run dry.

Great for my pond waterfall
Loving it. One day I decided to build a pond and make a waterfall from this huge rock in my landscaping. A little digging, cement, hose and this pump made it possible. Works great. See my video.

Falsely advertised as 400 GPH when it's really only 25 GPH and has no lift power even at 25 GPH
Ever bought worst thing I've ever bought this pump only pumps about 25 gallons per hour not 400 gallons per hour as advertised do not buy this product

Good pump. Would buy again
Good second pump for my pond. Shoots up about 5 ft and I would guess that it may actually be more like 500 gph (or my other pumps maybe have running lower than specified)

Super slow at 4 feet
So horrible. Barely trickles water out after 4 feet. Used once a week for 3 weeks and it's become so slow I hate it. Also sucks it's past my return window. Horrible product

Pumps up about 3’ and has a decent flow. About a gallon or two a minute?
