Very good price, value vs similar monopods. Well made.
Considering it cost much less than comparable Benro & Manfrotto units, but the build quality is quite good, this is a real bargain. The finish is nice and the kit includes a removable strap plus both a rubber and steel tip to use when the tripod foot is off. The product description notes only the rubber foot, so was pleasantly surprised to receive both. I've decided to buy a small ballhead, as putting a full size unit on seems to defeat the purpose. Will see how it holds up to hiking and use.Update: I agree with the other reviewer who noted that this is a monopod, not a tripod, so the level of stability is not comparable. That said, it is very lightweight, even compared to more beefy units such as the Sirui. It also feels and works more like a walking stick, which I find desirable.

Great monopod; lightweight and sturdy
This is my first monopod; I bought it for my Zoom video camera. I'm happy I made this purchase, because this product has exceeded my expectations. The monopod stands pretty much on its own on a level surface; I only have to hold it if it's breezy, or if there are people or pets moving about; for security purposes. It easily extends and collapses, and comes with a neat neoprene bag that makes it easy to tote around. Highly recommend this monopod!

A gust of wind tipped this unit with over a thousand dollar camera...
I though it would be worth a try, to use this unit on the Yellow Stone trip to take some pictures as family.I was wrong. A first gust of wind tipped the camera down with face plat to earth. Although camera did nto die, it did damges the lens. This type of unit is not going to be stable enough for the DLSR even with short lens such as 35/5mm prime lens. I ended up using the more substantial tripod from Bogen that I had for past 20+ years. Although they are heavy, I never had issue with them at all. Even for use as monopod this was not substantialenough for longer zoom lens on DSLR. This was a waste of purchase.I know this tripod is not designed for DSLR, but I though I will give it a try since I was gong on 5-6 hour hikes, andthe weight of Bogen forced me to try this. Never again. I giuess I could use it just as monopod or for smallercheaper camera that I don't mind sacrificing to the god of potography.

It can’t stay up on its own, don’t expect your camera to either
Let me start off by saying that this is a really nicely made MONOPOD. I like the rich blue color. I love the grip and it is easy to maneuver with. But this is not going to support anything. Well, it might support a VERY light cell phone, but it can barely support itself. Don’t mind walking away, if you take your hand off of it, that’s the end of that camera you were using. So don’t buy this expecting it to truly support your camera like the more expensive legged monopods that will allow your camera to stay upright without holding it. This is a product that should be sold at Walmart for like $20.

sturdy and lightweight
monopod works great... takes a little getting used to...I use it with zoom hd recorder and the only problem is that when you try setting it on tilt angle...base isn't heavy footed enough...tips over so it's hard to angle down and let go of it... otherwise I love it

No good.
Very flimsy. Kept falling apart. The base unscrew easily when you dont want it to. I walked away with the monopod in my hand and left behind the 3 legged stand several times. Does not stay up by itself. I had to return and buy a pricier one but I haven't ran into problems with it. With the new and more expensive one, I can place my a7riii and extend it all the way up and leave it to record without worrying it will fall. I wouldn't leave my camera for a second with this model.

Love it!
Love this! I use it for my phone so I can record and take pictures without having to stand super still, I also take it to church as a back up if our cameras go down. It's high quality and super sturdy. All in all I highly recommend this item!

Stable portable tripod
Got this to record video and take pictures while hiking and biking. So far, so good. It is more compact than other tripods, yet makes a tall stable bases where we need it.The hiking stick adapters have been an add perk.
