I have had more then one of this type of charge controller. This one replaced an old one i had that was ppt. The MPPT works much better. It really makes the most of the power from my panels. I also like the fact that this one is able to detect the 24 volt set up. It makes setting this up easy. Be sure not to put an inverter on the load side, only put an inverter directly on the battery.

While uncertain whether this is a true mppt controller it is in a format similar to other generic controllers I have used in the past with the addition of support for lithium batteries which I am starting use for some projects and some additional headroom at 30A at a budget friendly price.

Kind of an alternative energy enthusiast. I have been using a low quality 30am pwm charge controller. This gave me a budget friendly option for stepping up my game to an MPPT charge controller. And at 60 amps, I have the option of expanding my system at least two fold. Small compact and simple to use. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. 4 USB located right at the power source. That alone makes this a great option. Direct DC to DC charging for well lots of things. Everything seems to be moving toward a USB plug. This suits me fine. The more things I can pull off my grid is less that I am paying for electricity.

This controller is well made and solid. It works well. I replaced my pwm controller with this and all readings were identical. I have no way of knowing if this is a true mppt controller or not as the price is less than half that of most mppt controllers in the 30 amp range. However, it is at a good price point even for a pwm controller and it works as it should. Good buy and I am well satisfied

this controller was hooked up to four (4) 100 watt solar panels. was in operation about one full week . 30 days out of warranty (set in box for 3 weeks before I put it in service
