OMG - it works!
My Home Owners Association charges $25 for an extra fob. I just added a whole bunch of them with this device. I was kind of shocked that it worked - and it didn't work every time - but overall, I am thrilled that I found this and bought it.

Does not work. Reads access fobs only, not access cards.
I have fobs that are 125khz passive unencrypted. I have been able to copy them with instafobs at home depot and lowes. I decided to get this because I can get multiple copies made at home for less than I'd pay at the store for one. Or so I thought. I got it and tried it immediately. It did not read my fob at all.I tried new batteries as youtube videos said it was sensitive to voltage. I even checked the voltage on the batteries, 1.59v each, or 3.18v where this needs a minimum of 3v. So not the problem.I decided to check and see if it could read the fobs and cards that came with it, even though they are blank. It read the fobs, but not the cards.I started an amazon return thinking it was defective and got another one sent to me. I tried this one out and it has the exact same problem.Do not buy this. It does not work. There are videos on youtube about people with the same unit and the same problem.

Workday absolutely perfect.
We have security ID scan cards at my work place and I purchased this to scan a fob and put on my KEYBACK as a backup because I forget my key card from time to time. I discovered the RFID ring and now I just scan everything with my hand. Soooooooo convenient. This review is obviously for the scanner so I'll add that the scanner has worked multiple times flawlessly. The fobs that came with it worked and so did the blank cards.

Don’t Give Up! It Works!
Yes, it’s terribly cheap-looking. It’s design is so simplistic it seems counterintuitive to use it for tech. It’s a bit of a crap shoot, too - the first one I got did not work at all. But the second one was the real deal. Reads and writes both cards and fobs accurately and reliably. I persisted because the alternative was to pay $120 to the HOA for another keycard to access the dumpster, and I’m so glad I did. Someone else posted this detail too: the one that works beeps 3 times when you turn it on. The first defective one I got only beeped twice, so I’m confirming that this may be a good way to tell if you’ve got a dud. In the end, it was well worth the hassle - not ideal, but worth the money I saved.

Awesome!
Did the job that I needed it to do. Easy and very self explanatory.

Trash
Worked once to copy a fob and will not work again. Cheap, useless plastic. Not worth the buy

Works great would buy again if I needed a new or extra unit
This unit works great and has never failed to duplicate an rfid device. Very basic but very capable and easy to use

Have a short range of working condition.
I tried to use this on many of my cards such as my house keycard, but they all did not work. Definitely not worth of its price. The item itself is easy to use but have a chinese instruction. If you dont know what you are doing specifically I would not recomend.
