I love that it actually FITS in my drawer.

We have always used the original Apple Corer which works great but takes up so much room in a drawer. It was always getting caught and the metal started to rust from all the use and washing. This new and approved one cores, slices, and folds nicely to fit in any drawer. This product is highly recommended!

Overall, this slicer has worked really well for me, it is sturdier than expected and the handles work well. I also really liked how compact the slicer was, this makes storage much easier. In tools like this that are more niche in the kitchen.Useful, easy to clean, and pretty sturdy tool, making cutting up apples or pears much faster than would normally be. Gets a strong B+ rating from me. The item works well, but is a bit expensive unless you are using it on the daily.

Our old apple corer became rusty rather quickly, so we threw it out and got this one. I was looking forward to using this "uni-tasker" in my kitchen because I enjoy my apples in the exact proportions most corers give you when you cut an apple, and I'm fairly lazy and like to take advantage of those kitchen utensils that make my life easier.The finish on the handles is shiny but provides enough friction to adequately hold the handles to press the corer through the apple without your hands or fingers slipping. The handles easily fold into the unit and make it more compact for storage. The hinges aren't a chore to clean and overall, the design is thoughtful as well as effective.The blades seem sharp to the touch but are recessed in the corer to help prevent accidents. The blades absolutely and effectively cut through any apple, even these sugar crisp apples I got that are more akin to a waxy potato on the inside than a softer, mealier apple. This corer can easily handle a wide variety of apple types.We are really enjoying the corer and it definitely motivates me to eat more fresh fruit.

my dogs love apple time, and now I can cut up apples for me and not worry that I'm poisoning them with the seeds. I usually give them the core while I eat the slices but try to pick away the cut open seeds. all I have to do is cut out that little 1in square bit in the middle and they can eat what daddy is eating.

Works just fine and was easy to clean. I just put it in the dishwasher.

I love that they finally made an improvement on these old apple slicers. My mom had one when I was a kid and I just never got around to getting one. I really like that this has blade covers cuz I have little ones that like to dig through the utility drawer. The bottom serves as a stabilizer for your fruit while you cut it, as well as a lift so the blade can cut all the way through the bottom. It can be tricky to line up the blade with the bottom while you're cutting, but I've found you can cut it most the way through then give it a little twist if your blade isn't lined up. The back is not connected so make sure you keep the little shoe string it comes with to tie it on when not in use. Nice product.
