It then provides actual examples to aid your understanding.Having read this book you can then you try the heavier books such as Information Theory, Inference, and Learning Algorithms - David J.C. MacKay and Information Theory and Network Coding - Raymond W. Yeung.The authors are to be congratuated for readability.
