This is a really nice introduction to Information Theory and includes a review of logarithms and discrete probability. Everything is explained before usage so you do not have to do a Internet search for this unknown term they just introduced. It then provides actual examples to aid your understanding.Having read this book you can then you try the heavier books such as Information Theory, Inference, and Learning Algorithms - David J.C. MacKay and Information Theory and Network Coding - Raymond W. Yeung.The authors are to be congratuated for readability.
