Authentic
This is the closest I have come to duplicating a curry brought from a good Indian restaurant.

So easy to use!
Made a delicious vegetable curry. I just added the spices to the ingredients in my slow cooker and it cooked itself . Great flavour and not to spicey

Delicious!
The package contains three packs of easy-to-make Bhuna curry. Like all these pre-made spice kits, the advised serving quantity is somewhat optimistic. It says one packet will serve four people, but we used two packets (and twice the meat quantity advised for 1 packet) to feed five adults very comfortably with large servings. Of course this judgement depends on the size of your appetite. We are all big eaters, so if you like a small plate (or lots of rice and less curry) then perhaps you could genuinely feed four adults from one packet. There was nothing left over tonight though because it was really delicious! In our experience, making too much of this kind of meal is never a problem because you can store any left-overs in the fridge for later use. And curries usually have even more flavour after they have been left overnight. The meal is super-easy to make and takes well under 30 minutes to prepare and cook. The instructions are very clear, all you need to add is an onion, some chopped chicken (or similar meat) and a tin of tomatoes. We ate it accompanied by just pilau rice and mango chutney, and it was excellent. Just be warned that it has quite a hot taste - perhaps too hot for a curry beginner - but we all loved it.

Tasty and quick, but it does have a kick !!
As someone who enjoys cooking, I was keen to try out the East at Home Bhuna Spice Kit. The kit is available either singly for £3.99 or in a pack of three for £9.99. It says each kit has enough spices to make a meal for 4 people once the other ingredients are added. The kit arrives well packaged with a bag of onion powder and a bag of spices. There is a recipe card with step-by-step instructions. The instructions are also on the product information page which is handy if you happen to lose the card ! Besides the spices, all you need to supply is the meat (if doing a meat-based curry) or the vegetables if you choose a vegetarian curry, plus half a tin of chopped tomatoes and some onions.I tried it out by using some chicken thigh meat. I followed the step-by-step instructions and only added the recommended extras. It took less than 30 minutes from start to finish, and I just served it with wholegrain rice, and some garlic bread.OPINIONThe meal had been intended for myself and my partner, but when I tried it, although it is described as mild to medium, I knew it would be too spicy for him. I gave him some to try before plating up, and he did find it too spicy. He is accustomed to Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka, but just wasn’t keen on this.I did actually enjoy it (and still have half left !), although I too found it had quite a kick, so I would say it errs more on the “medium” rather than “mild” taste.I will definitely use the other sachets, but I think next time I will add either some coconut milk or natural yoghurt just to take the heat down a notch. However, for a flavourful, simple and quick curry I would definitely recommend this product. Price wise, I do think it represents good value, considering all the various spices involved, but I think one pack is more suited to two rather than four people.I have taken photos of each stage of the process which I hope you will find helpful. Also, just to add, the use by date on the ones I received is 30 December 2024, so plenty of time to experiment !

Simple and easy recipe - tasty!
This is a good kit for a curry recipe. I found it made a good moist chicken curry. It's quick and easy and as good as many restaurants. I think you could serve four people but you'd want to add side dishes and breads to bulk the meal out. It's a medium heat which might not be to everyone's taste. The packet has a nice long date so it's good as a store item for the larder.

Get your hands off my Bhuna!
The pack has everything you need except the oil and other fresh ingredients.I followed the steps on the pack and about 40 minutes later we had a delicious curry ready to eat!I am super impressed with this spice mix, it is even seasoned well so there's no need to add any salt. This bhuna is marked as 1 chilli on the pack, so it's not blow your head off spicy like the madras! It's a very savoury curry, delicious! It's delicious, easy to make and as quick as waiting for a takeaway to be delivered! In fact, I'd say that the day after I made this the kitchen smelt like we'd had a takeaway so very close to the "real" thing!

Full of flavour
We're curry eaters every Tuesday but they tend to be a speedy, sauce from a jar, variety. After trying this kit, I think we'll need to change that. The additional depth of flavour we experienced using this packet was striking. This felt like a genuinely authentic curry, from a restaurant. It was slightly spicier than I would have expected for a Bhuna, but not unpleasantly so.In terms of the cooking, it was super simple to make. All I needed to do was chop a bit of onion, dice some chicken, measure some water and chuck in half a tin of chopped tomatoes. The recipe card in the kit was super straightforward and I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again!

Give me some Bhuna
We do love a curry and already know that spice packets are much better than the pre-mixed sauces you get. They are often bland as the spices have been drowned. These 'East at Home' kits are very flavoursome. They are not as straight forward as dolloping some sauce on some chicken, but it is worth it.They kit may ask you to soak some ingredients or add them dry, but all is provided in the recipe. You do not have to follow it religiously but works well if you do. The recipe calls for four people, but it works for two people and leftovers for the next day or two. I really enjoyed the heat and taste that these kits provided, far better than the stuff that you get from the supermarket. Buy a few kits and store them in the cupboard for days that you need to throw a meal together.
