Size recommended for a 32" waist?

Large - I am 5ft 10 with a 32inch waist and 32 inch inside leg, have an older medium set of these and they fit OK but the current version is much smaller and I have had to return a pair, replacing with large.

As the washing instructions on the label inside the top e.g. lukewarm water in the washing machine @ 40°c low heat in a tumble drier to dry.

Does the Helly Hansen Men's lifa pant have a pocket at the front for ease of use?

No, This is an undergarment. I use shorts over the top and they usually have a small zip pocket at the rear
