Use with a comb before you hit the shower
This is a semi-oily substance that stains the skin, but it can be wash off with some soap and light scrubbing, which means it can also wash off easily from your hair. The direction is to use it on your hair after shampoo and rinse, but It's not practical to use it in the shower. You can’t see what you are doing. The best way is to apply it with a comb before you hit the shower, you get to see what you are doing, with minimum contact with your scalp. Leave it on for 5 min or more, I did around 10 mins, and about 50%-60% of it washed off with 2 light shampoo, which is not bad, some spot wash off more than other, which is a good thing, it’s more natural. This is good if you want to touch-up, you don’t have to do it daily, it’s up to you. I used to do it with hair-dye, and that always came out too dark and unnaturally black. This blends in better. I didn’t use a lot either, about the same amount in toothpaste for each side, my hair is short though.

Easier to use than dye and also thickens a little
I got this Menfirst Gradual Gray Conditioner for my husband who has thinning hair and is also starting to get some grays. He was pleasantly surprised with the performance. It smells good and doesn't stain his skin. It's not a dye, so he doesn't have to wear gloves when applying it. You just use it as you would any conditioner, except you leave it in for about 2 minutes before rinsing. The color washed off his hands. A patch test was required which he thought was easy to do. After one application his gray hairs were noticeably less noticeable. And there was no change to his regular dark brown hair color. He doesn't normally condition his hair often, but he thinks that his grey hairs will be completely covered after a few more applications. His hair seems a bit fuller after use too. Nice product. Recommend.

Not what I expected…
I conditioned my hair with this product which stained my skin and gave my hair a blue hue, yes blue! It looked interesting and caught my colleagues attention which made us all giggle. Didn’t look very natural at all got me a bit self conscious, which is the opposite of the expected effect. Will go straight to trash 🤷🏻♂️

Works but Will Stain
I’m not a man but I used the MENFIRST Gradual Gray Darkening Conditioner in Black and it works great to gradually color gray hair. I had read several reviews before using the conditioner and how it will stain the skin, so I initially washed and rinsed my hair but used gloves to apply the conditioner. I was very careful around my hairline to keep it off of my skin. I also used a comb to work it through my hair and off of my scalp. I left the conditioner on my hair for 10 minutes and rinsed twice until I saw no bluish color. My gray hairs are normally a shiny silver. After the color conditioner, they looked more of a dark grey. I think after a few more applications, they may just turn black.

a step in the right direction
I have bought every product from this brand, and they are expensive garbage, but this conditioner is a step in the right direction, although the price is still too high. PS: For those who complain that it stains their hands, the solution is too obvious. wear gloves
