TNW Elegance 1000 Oak Veneer and Clear Glass TV Stand

I bought this item because modern TV's are so wide - and my oak cabinet wasn't. It took me some time to decide which one to buy, but I wasn't disappointed with my choice. For a modern piece of furniture, this is excellent value. The glass is stylish (almost Scandinavian in design) and sturdy; the supports, although not solid wood, are well made and attractive. It can be constructed without too many problems - I found the most difficult thing was aligning the steel rods that run through the wooden blocks. Fully recommended.

This is a very solid and stable TV stand, the glass shelves give it an elegance that belies it's solidness.This stand though is not oak veneer, it is a printed plastic film on the back panel and sides. If you want to see oak and not a fairly poor imitation, this is not the stand for you. . If however that is not important and you require a very solid stand than this will probably fit the bill.

This arrived sooner than expected which is surprising in these days of courier delays and lost parcels. The box was very heavy, so I unpacked it piece by piece as I was putting it together. I managed this myself with ease - all the bits required were bagged nicely and the instructions were easy to follow. It needs to be built upside down on a soft surface. The only extra tool I used was a cross head screwdriver to tighten up the shelf support screws as they were a bit tricky to get at with the tool provided.

Amazing that this arrived without damage. This is a quality product which is very well designed. Perfect to compliment my new 40" Sony TV .

Product arrived in good time, assembly was fairly straightforward although a couple of holes were covered by the veneer.The veneer is a darker oak than appears in the picture. This was a little disappointing but decided not to return due to hassle of repacking and shipping what is a heavy item.

Good heavy product, does the job. Assembly might be a bit heavy for the inexperienced. If you have Satellite TV, a surround sound system, a Blu ray player etc., there are a lot of wires, so I made a white panel fitted behind the unit up to the mid shelf and that hid them.
