This was my first kilt, I got it to wear for a St. Patrick's Day competition. First off this fit was spot on. I'm 6'2" and weigh 215 lbs, usually wear between a 32 and 34 in pants. The XL fit like a glove; I didn't feel like it was going to fall off, nor did I have any trouble getting the snaps to hold. I wore this all night at the bar and it felt very comfortable, definitely need to find other occasions now to wear it. I got quite a few compliments on it throughout the night. The pockets were great, especially for someone that isn't used to wearing kilts; I was happy to be able to still cary my phone and wallet around. I haven't worn it since that night so I can't talk to long term quality, but it definitely held up my shenanigans and wasn't any worse for wear.

Buttons are not strong enough to stay in place.

These kilts are okay. They do easily rip. Go one size up from usual size otherwise they are way to snug. They do come with belt loops, so you can wear a belt. There are pockets but they aren’t very big. They’re similar to bags on your side. All the men said they were comfortable and easy to put on. There are 2 sets of buttons to clip, a set of clasps and Velcro.

This is a nice kilt for every day use. I've received numerous compliments on it and it holds up well even after washing. It looks higher quality than what you pay for it. The color of the tartan is generic but looks similar to a couple different clans. It is very comfortable and extremely functional. Make sure you do your measurements correctly. If you measure correctly, the size guide is spot on. I did end up using a belt with it to be safe (I have since ordered braces and am eager to try them out). The weight of the fabric is not too heavy nor too light - again, it is very suitable for every day use. There is great value for the money spent, though I would recommend getting a higher quality clan tartan for any formal or special events.
