Black Teneo Razor Blade Sharpener and Cleaner - Up to 150 Shaves, Better Sharpening Process - Serves as Razor Blade Stand and Storage

I bought the Razorpit in April, 2014, and have been using it regularly ever since (today is 5/24/2016). The product works exceptionally well - I use a Gillette Fusion Proglide safety razor, and I have only used three (3) new razor heads in all of that time. The Razorpit keeps the heads sharp for a very long time, if used regularly and according to the directions. The money savings is significant, as the razor heads are not cheap.Some facts for comparison: I have a medium-heavy beard, shave 4-6 times per week, use either soap or shaving soap, dry the razor after each use and keep it away from moisture/steam of the shower when not in use. I follow the Razorpit's directions and do not oversharpen. I've used disposable, straight and safety razors of all kinds for over 25 years. The Razorpit is absolutely the only thing that I've ever found to prolong safety razor head life. It has kept my safety razors at about 85%-90% of their initial sharpness over a very long time. I've saved several times the Razorpit's cost in not having to buy replacement heads so quickly - I used to go through them at about 1 every 3-4 weeks. Remember to dry and store the razor in a dry place, however - the Razorpit can't cure all ills. Decay/rust on the inside of the blade will ruin it beyond the Razorpit's abilities to keep it sharp.There is absolutely no reason not to buy or use the Razorpit if you use safety razors (men or women!). You will save money, have a sharper blade over a longer period of time, will avoid unnecessary waste in throwing away safety razor heads before you have to, and have a better shave. Good for your wallet, good for environment, good for your shave. 'Nuff said.

Sharpener / blade cleaner works great, but the little stand (specific to this model) is wobbly and doesn't accommodate my Dorco handle very well. I think it would work great with a slimmer handle like a Mach 3, but the Dorco handle has a curvature that makes it hard to rest on this stand.

This works well. I am on week three of the same razor. I usually renew my razor once every week. The blades are not as sharp as new blades, but the shave is pretty close. It will be worth the money over time.

I bought this product under the impression that the stand served as a sharpener in the sense that (you'd think for $30) it actually sharpened it for you, as in there were some moving parts. Nope its just a two pieces of plastic and a piece of rubber that probably cost $.50 to manufacture but somehow is selling for $30.On top of that it was extremely poorly put together. Both the bed for the sharpening surface and the plastic base itself had rubber feet attached with adhesive. When I opened the box one was already detached and another one was loose and quickly fell off. I returned it without trying it given the exorbitant cost for the quality of the item (in fact because the rubber foot had fallen off it made the sharpening surface impossible to mount securely so I wasn't even able to give it a try).

The RazorPit Teneo is great at what it does, but has a few shortcomings that prevent it from deserving a unilateral recommendation.The base unit does not drain water easily enough, and if left on it's own could develop mildew/mold through normal use. I recommend rinsing and drying it once a week. Similarly, storing your razor in the base unit causes the lubrication strip to rest on the base, which does not drain water sufficiently.While the Razorpit will keep your blades sharp, utilizing the storage slot for your razor will wear out the lubrication strip on your cartridge, giving your razor a lifespan of about two weeks. This essentially defeats the purpose of using the RazorPit to maintain your razor cartridges.Pros:+Does it's job, and keeps your razor blades sharp.+Aesthetically sleek, elegant, and portable.+The storage slots fit the Gillette razor series handles and blade cartridge container, and looks great.Cons:-Storage slot wears out razor's lubrication strip-Base unit's storage slots do NOT fit Dollar Shave Club's 4X handle and razor cartridge containers; they fall out immediately.I recommend using RazorPit's original model, which does not have the Teneo's flaws: RazorPit Men's Razor Blade Sharpener, Black

Es funktioniert. Bin zufrieden damit. Der Klingenkauf geht natürlich nicht Richtung Null, aber Nutzungsdauer würde ich auf das doppelte schätzen.

This is the second one I have purchased..I bought it for my son...they are the best money savers I have discovered..thanks again...well worth it.
