I pulled a power supply out of an old server to use for a different purpose. The "on/off" switch and wiring for the power supply as originally used was impractical for how I'm now using it. This simple inline switch works perfectly for turning the power supply on/off. While inexpensive, it's built like a tank. Very solid, very study with a prominent click when you flip the switch. The fact that the switch lights up is also very nice for something in this price range. The cord is not at all long, but as an inline switch, that's not really an issue, at least for my use. While I'm using it in a computer electronics setup, it would work equally for a drill press, bench grinder, etc. and hold up to the rigors of a workshop environment.

Lo uso para apagar extensiones y me resulta práctico, no lo veo como uso interior de casa, ya que es no estético, pero el uso en áreas abiertas combinadas con extensiones que no quieres ir hasta el origen del tomacorriente, es ideal.

1- The male plug end (no ratings on the female plug) of this item clearly indicates 15 amps at 125 volts. Which will heat up if you run more than 15 amps through it! A FIRE HAZARD!!!2- The wire used is a 14 awg which has ratings as follow:– @90°C/194°F: 25 Amps– @75°C/167°F: 20 Amps– @60°C/140°F: 15 Amps3- The switch used has a 23 amps ratings at 125 volts. How true that is, no one knows for real!This item is sold rated as 23 amps, the ratings for the switch only, not the plug and the wire used.Another Chinese P.O.C.!!!
