Great switch. WiFi range is extraordinary on it. Works down the bottom of the garden from the house. Would recommend. Esp32 based.

This isn’t for jamming into a socket back box, especially in the UK where there’s no neutral wire in there. If you’ve got access to L+N in, and L+N out, then this’ll work perfectly.

I had been looking for a solution for a long time that would provide smart control over my lights while still keeping a fully functioning traditional wall switch. Like many UK homes I have no neutral wire at the switch and no constant live feed at the light. This is the first product I found that could do this task.Installing and setting these up was very straight forward. The only issue I had is that, with the wall switches in my house, the Sonoff wouldn't always respond if I pressed the wall switch quickly. I suspect the interruption in power was too short (the Sonoff works on the basis that power is going to it regardless of which position the wall switch is in - it knows you've pressed the wall switch and want to turn the light on or off because of the brief interruption that occurs when the wall switch is pressed). I took a chance replacing my wall switches with new ones and now it's all working flawlessly (the new wall switches I went with that work are MK Logic Plus switches).Basically, when it's all working you can at all times control the lights using either the wall switch or the app regardless of whether the light was previously turned on or off with the app or wall switch. The Sonoff has a good reliable wifi signal. The app works even when your're away from home and you can use it to set schedules and well as turn the lights on and off. I've also connected it to Alexa without issue.Overall these are great. Just be aware that they may not work with 100% of wall switches so you may have to replace your existing ones.

Works well, the device was easily picked up (2.4 GHz only), and works well through Alexa. The Magic link works to switch on... but won't turn it off, I have to ask Alexa, and the ability to also use the light switch was one of the reasons I chose this unit.

If you're looking at this, then you probably know what a Sonoff module is and how it works. This one works as well as all the others I've ever tried.

Ich weiß nicht, ob „Lichtschalter“ wirklich der treffendste Begriff ist. Ich würde „Licht“ schlichtweg weglassen.Schließlich regelt dieses kleine Ding generell die Stromzufuhr. Also „An“ und „Aus“. Ob man nun bei irgendeinem Gerät das Stromkabel durchlaufen lässt, eine Glühlampenfassung, oder was anderes - im Prinzip funktioniert es mit allen Geräten. Und das sehr zuverlässig.Installation und Integration ins smarte Zuhause sind denkbar einfach.Ich bin zufrieden!

I like the idea of this device a lot. It can turn any on/off device into a smart device. You cannot use it on those digital device that doesn't use a physical traditional on/off button. Such as touch sensing buttons.To use it all you have to do is cut the power wire of the device that you want to use, in my case, I hook it up with a fan. Then connect the wiring into this smart controller. Finally, set it up with the app. Now you can program this device however you want from the app.The overall process is not easy if you are not a handy person. However, it works great once you set up everything correctly.
