Need different colors
This is such a nice idea/product. I got this for a friend who pics his Afro all the time. I love the design and meaning of it but I wish there were different colors - in case the person wants to leave it in their hair, it wonโt blend in.

Should be a great help to me
I have avoided rating this item for the simple fact that I am not using it for what it was intended. But today I got a message from the supplier asking me to rate it so here I am. First of all it was exactly as described and exactly what I wanted but NOT for my hair as I have none. What I actually bought the Metal Styling Pik for was to hold my cucumbers, zucchinis and squashes as I slice them for my cooking and eating enjoyment. That season is rapidly approaching. I did notice the "peace symbol" and the "clinched black fist" on the handle. Probably would have given it a five star rating if they had not been there.

Nice, but will it hold up
I have natural hair and I wanted to purchase a pick to keep my fro in line. I was looking for something strong and durable that will last long. I have not had any issues with this product but it does not have the solid feel of a pick that I am looking for. The plastic is thin and I'm afraid after prolonged use it would probably break. That has not happened up to this point, but the prongs feel like they may also fall out after a while. Again I have not had any issues but I think there are stronger picks on the market.

Not just for hair.
I did not buy this pick for my hair but for tomatoes. I cut off the ends and poke the pick through the tomato then cut through every other tine. Smaller cuts I turn the tomato sideways and cut next to the tines. Another use I have found is my butter. I buy Amish butter wrapped in paper. The tines stuck though the butter breaks it off in a straighter line than I get with a knife. Since I use a cast iron coated covered soup dish for my butter it is a perfect fit. Still looking for other uses.

I got it as a gift for a friend and had him write a review, it is as follows (and a little revised) "I love it, the pins kept snapping of at first but I've learned to use it well now and my afro is even bigger than before." I don't know how useful this is to anyone wanting to buy it, but he suggests it for his afro.

Yes, I know it is for hair, but I bought it for slicing vegetables.
I also bought this hair pick to use to hold vegetables while I am slicing them. Although it probably works well as a hair pick, it didn't do the job for holding vegetables as I sliced between the tines and it is now in the back of a drawer. It wasn't sharp enough to penetrate the vegetables. I am rating it three stars because I really don't know how it works as a hair pick and that is what it was designed to do. As a vegetable holder it is probably a two at best. The peace sign really didn't matter to me one way or another.

It was a good experience
Great for styling, and combing out thick beards.

Good quality, came on time
I purchased for a 70's costume. It was as expected and worked out great for my costume. It looks to be of great quality but I really didn't use it much just put it in a wig afro. It came when they said it would arrive
