It's Light, but Works Very Well
I only did a full charge with this (just this afternoon and tonight) using the XLR plug, so far. I'll try it without an adapter cable on a 5.5mm round plug tomorrow, but I anticipate equal success. And I know all adapters are passing current correctly, because I checked the output of every adapter using my multimeter - all are correct on (more or less) standard pinout - though you should check your battery's pinout yourself before using any of them. And whether taking a voltage reading directly from the round plug (no adapter) or from one of the adapters, I'm always showing 54.6 volts, or just a bit higher - which is fine, as long as the charger's auto-cutoff kicks in at 54.6v or thereabouts (I've seen 48v batts charged to 54.8 or 54.9v outputs, and that's usually just an indication of cells with wider range (ergo, capacity) - but this one is pretty much right on spec. And I verified that with the fully charged battery (pretty good quality Samsung INR50-2170 cells, 20Ah) which was right on 54.6v. And on this battery the BMS doesn't shut off the input charge until about 54.8v, so I know it's the charger doing the shut-off.The 3 Amp output I didn't test, since it's a hassle and can blow up an expensive Fluke multimeter, but the charging time felt right for the batt level which I checked before starting. A 3A charger is a bit in the middle for a 20Ah battery. It's more than a tortoise-slow 2A charger - 50% more to be exact - but not as ideal as a 4 Amp charger, which nearly, but not quite, halves your charging time versus the anemic 2A unit. But going to 4A is more costly, because it's more costly to build the thing - everything from MOSFETs and circuitry and even the PCB internally to the gauge of the wires externally. You might say 3A, like this charger, is the happy medium, since you get a significant boost over stock 2A chargers, but with nearly no weight, size, or cost penalty.Speaking of weight, I was surprised at how light this one is. I'm not gonna open it and see what components they used. It works, and works well. It gets warm, but not hot, and cools just fine. Another advantage at 3A - you don't get overheated chargers so easily.I'm completely satisfied with this unit, and I like having all the adapters. I can charge up my wife's hot-rod ebike battery with the XLR adapter or use the same charger (adapterless, round-plug) to charge up (mostly top-off) the dual-batt Lectrics we keep for guests to ride. And it's light enough you can take it with you if you have basket/rack space - nice for topping up at lunch time if you're going to be riding all day.Yes, very good unit that I recommend. All the specs are right-on, and it behaves very predictably. I like it. I'll be using it almost daily now.

Good 3 amp E-bike battery charger
The media could not be loaded. We try to take a road trip with our E bikes each quarter of the year. I was very interested in this charger because it is a 3 amp. instead of the two amp that has come with both of our E bikes. Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical of how good it would do as it seemed very light. It does have a fan inside. but I was concerned about the heat because of the lightweight and thin material. After using it, I can tell you it did not get any appreciable heat build up at all. It will charge our batteries quicker than our two amp chargers. I also like the fact that I can use this charger for either of the two different batteries. So the adapters can be a very beneficial bonus that you get. I have only had the opportunity, so far, to test out two of the adapters, but I will say they worked fine and I have no reason to believe the other three would not. I was not sure if I should give this 4 stars or 5 because of the limited time that I have used it as of the writing of this review. My first thought was to give it four stars and then come back and update after using this for several months. However, I am going to give it the benefit of the doubt that it will continue to meet my expectations. If for any reason over the next three to six months, it fails to do so, I will update the review and let everybody know. If there is no update, rest assured that it is working well. I can recommend this as a valuable addition to my E bike room.

Doesn’t maintain a charge.
Goes on and off at random, bad connection. Bad investment.

The Best 48V E-Bike Battery Charger, Hands Down!
This charger, I trust with all my 48v batteries! It seriously has a cooling fan built in. It has 6 different plugs so you KNOW it'll charge whatever e-bike or scooter you have. It's red when it's charging and green when it's full. Simple to use and very dependable

Charger, 54.6 volts and 3 amps, comes with six different plugs and a built-in cooling fan!
This is a charger, it is 54.6 volts and 3 amps. It comes with six different plugs, so it is more than likely to fit whatever it is you're going to charge. It also has a small fan inside for cooling. We have three different types of electric bikes and scooters now and it is a pain to keep up with all of the Chargers so we got this one charger to make life a little easier. It works great and fast! I am happy to have this 3 amp charger to help us! It is a very good quality charger!

fantastic
The original charger for my kasen kabbit plus electric bike is broken. Buy this charger it has the correct voltage, wattage, amperage, match. You have to make sure it fits the port on your bike terminal and has the correct voltage, etc. before you buy.
