Thick, Durable Rubber Vent Covers Fit Perfectly and Do the Trick!
I was reordering magnetic vent covers the other day to close off most of my home from AC and direct it to just 1-2 smaller rooms. As I was adding the covers to my cart, one of the suggested products on the page were these rubber vent covers. I was a bit skeptical, wondering if they'd be thick enough, possibly tearing on the metal edges of my floor vents but I went ahead and nixed the magnetic covers and ordered a couple packs of the rubber overs, figuring I could always return them, and I'm so glad I did. The magnetic covers worked to some degree but there was still some cool air coming through around the edges. With the rubber covers, the air is completely blocked, as they cover the underside of the metal vent covers completely. They were just the right size and easy to place over the vent covers. For the vents that are most visible in my home, I used only the rubber covers underneath the vents, which looks better than the magnetic covers and eliminates any slippage. I found that in higher-traffic areas, the magnetic covers sometimes slid off, and I'd purchased the strongest of those---this is a non-issue with the rubber covers that wrap around the bottom of the vent. The only challenge I had with the rubber vent covers was with unfolding them--the folded-over sections were somewhat stuck together, and did require a bit of careful oomph to unfold. I'm not sure if this had anything to do with the warm weather while in transit or if this is just a normal occurrence in packaging. I was worried that I might damage the covers by needing to apply some pressure to unfold them, but all covers unfolded without any tears. As well, the covers are uniformly thick, including the all-important corners that are covering sharper metal edges on the vent. Again, no rips or tears at all. I did add the magnetic covers to some of the vents that are more out of the way or where my vent covers don't fit as well as they could in this older home. Both together completely seal the vent beautifully for those vents that are an issue, but for most of the vents, the rubber vent cover alone nicely does the trick. I was so happy with the covers that I just ordered another set for the 3 more vents. They're a bit pricey, so I plan to purchase another couple sets for the back storage room that for now still has only magnetic covers and heavy furniture covering those vents, but I plan to eventually have the rubber vents covering all of those. They really do a great job and I highly recommend them for anyone who hasn't been satisfied using magnetic vent covers. These would work especially well for ceiling vents where magnetic covers sometimes don't hold as well. I'm really happy that I gave these a try!

Great fit for all my floor ones
So happy I did it. I have a lot being down in my crawl space due to rodent damage. So it had rodent stink, chemicals, glue and other things. Oh and all ducts have been pulled out due to rodent damage as well. I first just taped them over before the crew started to work. And of course it looked ugly. Thai solution is perfect since you can’t see it, just working well under the vent. Yay! Thank you

I really like these!
I initially had those flat magnetized vent covers in my cart. Then I realized that the flat ones do not stop airflow. The vent groves stick up just enough to let air out the sides. So - the flat ones don’t work. I found these and decided to give them a try. They’re great. Yes, others have mentioned that they’re stuck together. But just be careful and spend that 30 seconds to unstick them.My vents have sharp corners that I was worried would pierce the thin rubber. However, they’re safely installed if you’re careful when adjusting the fit. They arrived quickly and were nicely packaged.Initial testing and I can’t feel any air escaping. Maybe it does, but I can’t feel any. Much less than just closing the vent covers (they’re a joke!)An added bonus is they they’ll keep dirt and dust from dropping into the vent!I bought 6 covers and will experiment with closing different rooms off to save AC. They’re easy to remove, just be careful, the vent corners are sharp and can easily cut them. I’m also planning on installing these in my travel trailer. All in all - I’m very pleased with these. I’m happy that I bought these and not the flat ones! Great value and I’m hoping for a large return on my investment.

It's okay
This didn't have the effect I was hoping for - which was to have an air tight solution to force air into rooms that need it more. Each vent I installed these on still have air escaping - albeit from the top/sides. Not really a design flaw of the product, it covers what it says it does - just not what I was hoping for. It also did not reduce noise coming from the vents. That said- installation was simple, sizes were easy to distinguish, and common sizes were available unlike other products I viewed prior to this. It works as advertised, just wasn't what I had hoped for.

Perfect fix
I bought this because one of the rooms upstairs gets very hot when the heat is on but the rest of the house is much cooler. This worked great to cut off air flow to a vent. A little still does come through, but this has absolutely fixed my issue.

Works, sorta?
These do a great job covering the vent holes, but it doesn't cover the hole where the adjustment lever is. As a result, all of the air gets forced out of that little slot and squeals like an angry 4-year-old. I was able to put some insulating foam tape around the opening, but I shouldn't have to do that for a $25 product.

Easy to use.
The covers feel and appear to be good quality. They are very easy to put on and keep the air from coming out. I have noticed any annoying noise from them.

Works perfectly!
The seal on these is really good and makes a snug fit. The material is pretty thick so I didn’t have any issues with it tearing. My basement level gets way too cold in the summer so I’ve been trying to completely block the vents on that floor. I first tried the magnetic covers which don’t work very well so I planned to use these rubber covers in addition to the magnetic cover but these work so well I don’t even need the magnets so it even looks nicer! Definitely recommend, I will be buying more for the other sized vents.
