Updated: The seller reached out and offered to replace my camera. Great customer service! This unit worked great until the camera part stopped working. It won't turn on at all. We have two of the units, so I tried swapping power cords, restarting the unit, everything in the troubleshooting guide. Nothing worked.

You guys. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA. I have had this baby monitor for 4 years. It does not last. I have changed the monitor twice already. That’s $100-150 (depending where you buy it from) down the drain just for the monitor. I have 3 kids and had to buy 3 separate cameras. They sometimes over heat, sometimes tell the incorrect temps in the room, sometimes even disconnect through the night. I am on my second monitor and it’s starting to glitch exactly how my first one did. The screen randomly will go dark and not want to turn back on. The kick stand gets wobbly maybe 4 months of use. I like the quality of video but other than that, there is nothing else that I really like.

We have loved this camera so far. The picture quality is great and has a very large screen. It does not use WiFi which was what we wanted. It has a long reach, we can be sitting by the fire in our backyard which is 50 yards from the nursery and it still connects without issue. The battery life on the monitor isnt the best, but its for sure not terrible. We keep it plugged in most of the time anyways beside our bed.

I got this as a replacement for my VAVA monitor that gave out after 4 years of use. I didn’t want a whole new system so wanted one that would work with my VAVA cameras too. The first one I got was faulty and the new camera it came with wouldn’t stay connected to the monitor unless you were in the same room which was disappointing. However, I was able to exchange it and the new one arrived in less than 48 hours and worked fine! Since then we have had no issues!

UPDATE - The company reached out and has remedied our issue. Great customer service. Highly recommend! Got this for baby #2 because we used the Vava monitor for our first and it's still going strong nearly 5 years later. This looked like the same monitor, so we were hopeful for the same experience. Unfortunately this version doesn't hold a battery charge nearly as long as the Vava monitor, but it was manageable. However recently the kickstand on the back malfunctioned and for the last couple of weeks we've constantly had to mess with it to get it to work correctly. Then last night a piece must have broken inside of the kickstand and the whole thing came off and cannot be re-attached. This is extremely frustrating since our baby is only 6 months old. I'm not hopeful that it will last even to her first birthday.

I absolutely love how easy it was to set this monitor up. The large screen shows a pretty clear picture and the the infrared night light works automatically like a charm. I do like having 2 way talk system and the visual alert if my little one is crying. This product was definitely a great value. I also have the option to add cameras to the system. The camera can be minutes on a flat service or hung if needed. I plan to purchase another for the play room!

Coming from a Eufy baby monitor I wasn't sure how this was going to compare, but so far I've been impressed. The image quality, both during the day and using the night vision, has been pretty much the same. Hard to capture on camera, but the attached pictures are of the three different zoom levels both in light and with the night vision. The lights that show the sound levels are useful, and a nice touch. I love that the monitor charges over USB-C too, so I haven't really paid attention to battery life because I'm easily able to charge it wherever I am. Battery life has been good when needed though. Having the camera that rotates is also very helpful, especially if using it in other rooms where the kids may be moving around. Overall I would recommend this and would buy a second one if needed.

I actually received an original Vava branded unit even though I ordered thr Hipp unit. So I think the Hipp branded unit is exactly the same. I had one of these for 2.5 years and my only complaint is that the plastic became brittle over time so the kickstand wold no longer lock in place and the antenna broke off after it fell over and dropped off a side table. It has a much larger battery than other monitors so you don't get anxiety leaving it unplugged. It can even safely be left unplugged overnight (it will alarm to tell you when the battery is low if you are worried). The night vision is lower resolution than the 1080p Vtech unit I tried, but the Vava/Hipp unit never loses it connection or has a low battery (unlike the Vtech unit) which is way more important. This camera doesn't have 1080p or wifi but it is rock solid reliable. I would highly recommend.

This is a decent non-wifi monitor. The sound and image quality are great, and we like the zoom capabilities. Battery life is not amazing. I rarely see it get up to full charge, and overnight we find it's best to keep the monitor plugged in. We haven't tested out the range except for once at a friend's condo when it didn't reach past the elevator, so I wouldn't plan on using this for any long-range monitoring.

Amazing quality!! Little guy tossed our vava screen in the toilet so I ordered this as it looked of similar quality, and it is!! The screen even pairs with my vava camera!

Battery JUST lasts overnight (12 hrs). Great night vision and pretty good range. Have been using it for two months now. Does the job for me, as long as I remember to charge it.
