I found this is pretty neat. It has a temp set and temp window to show you what temp it is. and you can adjust it up and down, and it remembers that set point. You can have a low power set point and a high power set point, and they can be different, or the same. And when you go to turn it off, it does a quick cool down. I can put my wife's hair dryer back upstairs in her bathroom instead of stealing it for different things I use a heat gun for.

This is a really great heat gun. Sits upright, nice display, easy to use. Really could use a longer cord, but understand the safety constraints when dealing with a high power heat gun like this.Heads up: After you turn it off it will run the fan for a bit to cool it down, which makes it seem like it’s still on. Best to leave it plugged in, turn it off with the switch, and set it upright so it can do its thing for a few seconds - don’t just unplug it like a cheap mini heat gun.

Nice heat gun. Have used one for heap many years for shrink tubing, mainly, but many other uses also. This one is nice, bright color, easy to locate on cluttered work bench, has wide range of linear heat control, not just one temp. And, can stand it on its butt and point it to the sky for multiple shrink jobs, but, for ME, it seems a bit lightweight doing that, because I don't like my tools to move around while using them, at all, not even. But over all, I really like it. Would buy it again!

I got tired of trying to light a little butane lighter to shrink heat shrink tubing. Took me a while to pick one out and this one seemed to as good as any.I've used it about 10 times now and it has improved the quality of my shrinking. Well, of the tubing... it hasn't shrunk my bills.The tips to focus the heat might come in handy done day. The display is clear and while I cannot verify the temperature, my Kill-A-Watt shows power consumption within expectations.BT Recommends

I have only owned this heat gun for a week so I can not comment on the life expectancy I can say that I am very satisfied with the function of the product. I really like that the switch is not the center position for off type making it very easy to operate one handed. The wide adjustment of temperature is great and the digital display is easy to read. The buttons for adjustment feel very durable and respond very well. As of now, I would recommend this purchase to others.

I had to use this to heat a chip on a motherboard. The ability to adjust the temperature to not cause damage is a must. I later used this heat gun to loosen some glue when disassembling a car door panel. Again, the temp control worked and was needed. Price was reasonable and would recommend.

Purchase this product and on it's first use it work perfectly fine but on the second use it started the malfunction. It would not cut off from the switch and it would go from high to low on its own. Once I start to use it I have to unplug it and plug it back in. The heat control settings work perfectly fine in controlling the temperature.
