The media could not be loaded. It takes the device around 20-30 seconds to warm up, after which there is a beep to tell you the device is ready. Tested it on the gas hob to make sure it was working. Then used it on a pipe that I believed was leaking has and this device confirmed the leak. The device made loud continuous beeping and the LED screen turned red.It's small in size and appears to be accurate. It comes with a handy carry pouch (be sure to check the bottom of the box), and two AAA Duracell batteries. I think device is good value for money, and good if you want some reassurance on gas leaks.

We just had a new gas hob installed and for a week afterwards my partner said she could smell gas now and then but I genuinely couldn’t. Purchased this for piece of mind and on checking inside one of the cupboards beside the hob which had a gas pipe running to the hob it went off the scale.Gas guy must’ve damaged the adjacent connector when cutting pipe. So glad I purchased this as the gas would build up in the cupboard that’s why it was hard to smell until door was open.Well worth the money.

Great little product! So easy to use and is extremely efficient! Detects gas after first 30 seconds of calibration. It is extremely sensitive. I feel a lot safer knowing I have this gas detector to hand. It was a good price and delivered next day. I would greatly recommend that everyone has one of these in their tool box.

We could smell a trace of gas in our gas cupboard in our RV. Bought this item, and located the leak very quick and easily! Very easy to use, just switch on, wait 30 seconds and then offer it to each of your connections. In our case we found a leak by the outlet of our propane bottle. Located, tightened, sorted!A boiler guy checked it the day before and found nothing with his £100+ equipment, lol.Worth every penny for peace of mind and safety. Highly recommend this detector.

After thinking we hood smell gas in the cupboard under the stairs on occasion I thought I would check it out before calling the experts who are all to eager to cut the supply off. I first checked all the joints with a leak detector spray around the supply/ meter and after including under the floor. Everything looked fine but to be absolutely sure, I purchased this product, tested it on a unlit gas hob after a quick on/off it proved very sensitive. I checked all my gas joints with it and am satisfied there are no leaks. Haven’t smelled gas since.
