Sharp enough to cut leather easily, traditional single bevel to the edge makes it very accurate. Simple designs are often the best and although its 'just' a pointy metal bar, it has been thought about very hard and is perfect if you are confident with a tool that requires respectful handling.Only downside is the blade covering it comes in is a pathetic bit of plastic, so I had to make a sheath for it immediately. Like all sharps, you do NOT want to leave it out on the bench or in a tool box without the blade being enclosed in something you can trust.

I ordered this to use as a marking knife for my carpentry work. I didn’t realise that it can be used for wood carving. It’s well balanced and feels comfortable in the hand even though it’s an unfamiliar shape.It’s sharp and ready to use straight out of the pack. It comes in a little plastic sleeve and blade cover. The blade itself keeps an amazing cutting edge. I used it to carve a small piece of oak, the blade lasted over five hours and still has a very sharp edge. Mind your fingers!If you are a carpenter looking for a perfect thin marking line/ knife wall, this is the tool. If you want to try carving small pieces of wood, this is great fun. I didn’t realise how long I had been carving until I looked at the time.Delivery time was 4 days.

Really prefer using this compared to the Stanley blades I use to use. Far more accurate and also look nice. Fits in the pen holder bit of my leather tool belt perfect
