Eco Sil Reusable Food Bag

Fresh forever & thick silicone
Omg new favorite product. I think I’m going to buy these for family and friends!Thick silicone which I normally wouldn’t like to use for food products however this is better than single use plastic bags. It is perfect to store vegetables. My biggest rave is for mushrooms and avocados. My mushrooms stay fresh forever in this - I add a paper towel to absorb the moisture. Compared to storing in a ziplock the same way this is waaaaay better. This increases my avocado shelf life. It keeps them fresh and less brown. I have not used for liquids but I would expect it would work well as this seals tightly. The coloring is transparent enough to allow you to see what’s in there. I try to color code when possible. Although I’m not sure what would code with the blue. The top slide can be a bit tricky as it is tight but that’s how it’s supposed to be! Make sure to slide in the right direction which is lightly labeled. I do wish the pull tabs were a bit larger so I can get a better grip but I still love these and would buy again. The cleaning is easy enough - I stick in top rack over a couple prongs to open it. If that doesn’t work, it wipes out easily enough. If I need to soak it it can stand by itself.

Really great and durable for storage, just difficult to close
Love these! Trying to reduce use of disposable plastic baggies and these are great for most uses. I have frozen fruit in them, use them for lunches and staring veggies in the fridge, etc. seem to work well for all uses. No issues with leaking and they are thick and durable, and wash well. Only complaint would be that it is a bit difficult to slide the plastic piece on to seal it, but I still like them despite this. Would recommend as long as you don’t have arthritis or issues with with strength in your hands (just being honest)

Be sure to buy various sizes!
I thought these were different sizes, but it's not a big deal. Should have checked the description before buying. With that being said, I've still been using all 4 of them on a weekly basis, and they're great. Without a dishwasher, they're a little problematic to clean/dry, but I just hang them on the end of a spatula to dry, that seems to work just fine. The biggest issue I have, and it isnt even much of an issue, is that they attract all the dust and hair you can think of. They're silicone, so that's to be expected. Anyhow, I love these, and I love that I dont have to keep using plastic-smelling Ziploc bags anymore. Absolutely worth the price.

Good quality but difficult to
I bought these thinking I would use them for my daily cut of veggies - but they are very difficult to get into and out of. The “rod” that closes the bag is difficult to put on. It seals well which is probably why it’s hard to use that mechanism to get on and off. I bought these but I honestly haven’t used them much due to the difficulty in managing the closure part of the equation.

... plastic use recently and decided to look for some good reusable bags that could replace the disposable Ziploc bags ...
I've been trying to reduce my plastic use recently and decided to look for some good reusable bags that could replace the disposable Ziploc bags I was using previously. Regular plastic bags are difficult to clean and break easily, making it hard to re-use them as I was trying to do. So, I decided to look at some silicone bags. One of the best things about these is that they are dishwasher safe! I was previously soaking my plastic bags in soap water and then hanging them to dry, which was a pain. With these, I don' t have to worry about them anymore! And the sturdy silicone material doesn't break down with repeated use. I highly recommend these for a reusable option. When I initially received my bags, one of them had a small hole in the bottom. When I requested a replacement, they responded very quickly and offered me an entire new set for free! I was so happy with this purchase and can't recommend this product enough!

Fragile bags that require superhuman strength to close
I read the reviews before I bought these, and when people said they ripped when they opened them, I figured those people might have been too rough, so I'd just be more gentle.I was able to ease them open the first time, but after I washed the bags, one ripped the first time I tried to use it.When I tried another bag, it opened easily, but I could only get the slider bar across about a third of the way needed to seal it.After the first one easily tore, and being unable to close the second, I give up. I do not have the particular combination of light touch and brute strength that these bags require.

Problematic in several ways
These are incredibly difficult to open or close. If you have arthritis, carpal tunnel, or anything less than superb grip strength, you will find these a challenge to work with. What's more, the seal isn't like that of other food containers. I tried these for freezing coffee beans - not only did the contents get stale, but everything nearby in the freezer took on the smell of coffee. Presuming that maybe these weren't mean for freezer use, I tried using them for storing things in the pantry but, again, things kept going stale. These would probably be fine for storing non-food items (arts and crafts materials, maybe), but just aren't up to the task if you care about the quality of your food.

Worth every cent. You'll use them so much you'll want two sets.
I bought these close to a year ago. I love them so much! They have never once leaked, I use them in the fridge and freezer with no issues. They are easy to open and close and they wash well in the dishwasher. They were totally stain free after a year of use until recently I put curry in one of them. I think its because i froze it for a month. I can see some color changes now but it's not something that bothers me. No smells after cleaning them. I use them so much I just wish I had another set. It's pretty amazing how much fits into one of these bags! They're worth the money, you'll use them everyday if you are already using zip locks.
