Snow blower went down. Installed this coil and its back up and running. The fit was not perfect. Had to drill out the mounting holes just a tad..

Worked great, fit correct.
The fitment was correct with all the correct connectors. Wires to the kill switch were shorter than the original, but were still plenty long enough. Worked good, fired right up on first pull.

works on Cub Cadet 159cc engines with mods
I could not find the exact replacement coil for a Cub ST100 trimmer with a 159cc engine. This one will work but you have to ream out the mounting holes. They are too far apart as is. The blue wires with the metal connectors are not needed, just the wire with the white connector. This coil has an angled plug boot with the metal shield, which fits but is not the same angle as the original. Overall OK since it is cheap and will work after some filing.

The material is thin and breaks easily. The end that fits loosely and often pulls out with the slightest tug

disappointing
this was for our snow blower, Item did not arrive when promised. was said to be lost, so you said you would provide a refund. a couple days later it showed up, but I had already found one elsewhere and installed it so I returned this one and did get the refund. honestly, it was needed when promised, snow was predicted and we did get two minor storms while this was all going on.

Bought for one of my neighbours snowblower that I had to fix. Direct replacement and plug and play. Everything worked once back together.

Worked about 3 times then engine started running erratic and popping out the exhaust all the time. Put a used coil from another machine on and problem solved 🤷 Buy the OEM coil from MTD
