Hours of fun already.
Sludge is a great Dinobot toy. After owning the original G1 version many moons ago, this version of Sludge is pretty close to the original. The neck+head swivel is a nice new feature. The legs appear to be much sturdier. If anything pops off, a gentle push or tug can place any arms or legs back on with no hard done. The only tricky thing for our six year old was the leg transformation, which needs to be centered and balanced so that the rear end of the sauropod folds back onto the torso and stays there without the legs separating and drawing apart the two tail halves. A bit of practice and Sludge transforms effortlessly now. I personally appreciate the character card included in the package, which meant I didn't have to go cutting out some cardboard section of the box. Came with the Dinobot, the armor that will play a role in forming the combiner robot, and a weapon. All in all, we're very pleased with the toy.

Not the sharpest pencil in the pencil thing
The Dinobots have a reputation of being dimwitted, but Sludge is actually an idiot. While he may not be the smartest Dinobot, he can still make an impression stomping around. He and Slug dislike Optimus Prime, with Sludge believing Grimlock should lead the Autobots because he's strong, but he believes in the Autobot cause. Sludge is also actually quite friendly. So again, we have another Dinobot with a very throwback feel to the 80's look and it's very well done. The colors and look are perfect and solid Dinobot circa 1980s. Rather easy to transform and looks great. Like the other Dinobots, I have no real interest in combining them, but he can easily be made into an arm or leg of Volcanus. He comes with the same gun as Slug, and it works really good with him. A must have addition to the Dinobots and Autobots.

At a REASONABLE price!!
I have been looking for this EVERY WHERE!! Since it was said to be released back in May of 2018. NO ONE had this. Waited for half a year!! No one, no place no where had this... FOR A REASONABLE price. Sure you could get it on eBay for over a hundred dollars! I was desperate, not insane. Finally seen this in Amazon with 3 left!! Immediately purchased it for a Christmas gift for my kid. EXTREMELY PLEASED with item, service and shipping. Exactly what I needed to have him complete the set. Thank you amazon for making a spoiled kids Christmas a happy one. Cannot extend my deepest thanks enough.

Shipping bag doesn't offer protection for item purchased
The item is indeed very cool and brings back a sense of nostalgia too me. The down side is that package arrived only in a bubble wrap packaging which offers no protection to the original packaging (if collecting). The package suffered many bends, folds, and creases.

Solidly designed toy with tight joints and a great update to the original from the 80s
Solidly designed toy with tight joints and a great update to the original from the 80s. Everything holds together really well and he looks great as a robot, a dinosaur, a leg or an arm. It would have been nice if he didn’t share some parts with Slug, but it’s a fun toy nonetheless. Approved by not only this aging boy from the 80s but also my 6 year old daughter who loves this whole new set of dinobots. Great job, Hasbro.

A second hand review
Not a Transformers fan myself I can only judge it by the happiness of my son. And he is overjoyed with this toy. He spnt hours playing with it and nothing broke, which is a god statement to its quality.

My boy loves it.
I got this along with the other Dinobots for my son, and I'm kinda jealous. This series has turned out to be a very good update on several old G1 toys, and now my boy has the full set AND of course the can combine. I really wished I could've gotten myself a set, but my kids come first.

Smaller then I expected given how big the character is usually portrayed in media but I'm satisfied

Cheaply made! Weirdly stubby tail, mouth barely opens and the back plates that open to the robot chest keep falling off when even lightly used. Basically a odd proportioned desk ornament, but no good for even the lightest play.
