Q: Is this Dutch processed cacao?

Q: My bag arrived with a small hole and powder leaked out of it. Please advise.

I just received mine today and the bag has a half inch tear in it, cocoa powder all over the place! It's not returnable so I threw it out.

Q: Can use this to make hot chocolate?

Yes you can but it won't be the best hot chocolate drink. I've tried a few times. It's pretty strong. Use just a little with a lot of cream or half and half. It kinda lacks the chocolate flavor compared to that brand I used to buy (Valrhona Pure Cocoa Powder, 8.8 oz.)

Q: Is this product a part of fair trade organization?

I see no indication on the label that it is fair trade. I have enjoyed this product but will now have to find a fair trade alternative. Thanks for asking the Question. This is sourced from Peru so I don’t think there is child slavery involved as there is in Africa so that is a plus. A Cocoa from South America that is fair trade might be the best solution.
