This is a great item and I bought it for my dog. It is very cold and has a layer of moisture resistant fabric on the bottom. So far the dog loves sleeping in it.

This is a decent bed for the price but should be advertised as suitable for a small to small side of medium dog.

I bought this cooler for my dog when our temperatures exceeded 85 degrees Fahrenheit for several days in a row. I am very pleased with its design and functionality. It is fairly flat, but comfortable. I read that cooling your dog's foot pads is a great way to help them cool down. My dog used this pad for a while, but stopped using it when it wasn't so hot outside. I've experimented with it myself by placing my bare feet on it while sitting on the couch and it works great. If your dog likes to dig/scratch a lot, he could possibly tear. Also, it's easy to clean if something is spilled on it. The material is very smooth, similar to nylon. I love this dog mat so much that I'm giving it 5 stars!

These cooling mats work just as well for humans as for pets. I bought it for me to help beat the heat when it's time to sleep.
