Great
Worked perfectly, put my mind at ease. I'm glad I bought the test because these reviews put me off and I assumed I would be wasting my money. The best before date was 2027. The instructions were easy to follow, with both pictures and text included. If you follow the instructions, the test works well.

Don't waste your money
Like many others, mine was faulty and didn't have a control line. Can't ask for a refund as the product is used. Will go back to using Medichecks. Disappointed.

Brilliant
Having surgery where inflammation markers for CRP over 10 would stop the surgery going ahead, so for a worrier like me this was perfect for peace of mind. Easy to use and fast results.

good product but short expiry date
good product short expiry date The test worked very well, the instructions were very good. There are 3 ranges of CRP when positive correlating to amount of CRP in blood. Results are explained clearly and consequences of result interpreted with advice on what to do. But the expiry date was in 2 months time which should have been stated. Not fault of product but of seller. This may reflect the price but all the same should be stated.

Accurate reliable and easy to use
I bought this test to check if my father had an infection he would not “waste the doctors time” and get checked in the surgery (if he could have got an appointment!) Given some of the reviews on here I was a bit nervous but I have used Berkeley Health products before and had no problems so I do trust the brand. Amazon delivered with their usual speed and it was a matter of getting Dad to do the test thankfully he found the process easy although I did assist by reading the instructions to make sure that we did it properly. Sure enough within minutes we had a result (sadly positive) this enabled me to call the surgery on his behalf and explain that we had done a test which showed that he has an infection and an appointment was made. The Doctor was quite happy with the test and its outcome and we found ourselves with a prescription and on the road to recovery quickly. My faith in Berkeley Health was justified and I remain a happy customer.

First worked well, 2nd not at all, 3rd's a charm.
I must have inadvertently violated community standards by using the common medical abbreviation for this test - Creatinine Reactive Protein - rather than using the abbreviation a 'profanity'. No offence intended. However, these tests are invaluable if you need to self monitor chronic conditions. Having suffered a serious injury to my legs dismantling steel clothes racks - which decided to get their own back by dismantling me - I was worried, a year on, by a further decline. These tests will establish whether there's underlying infection - including viral - or inflammation. So very handy, indeed. The first one I ordered earlier this month worked like a charm - good clear result in 5 minutes. No trade of anything amiss. I was surprised by some of the negative reviews. However the latest one I ordered and used yesterday didn't provide any readable result at all . No lines, nothing but a vague pink blush. I hope that doesn't offend sensibilities. So it's a pay your money and make your choice. When it works it's very very good, bar the awful pipits used to extract blood (as a diabetic I reached for a lancet instead). A proper result will either provide peace of mind, as my first test did, or gives you a reason to contact your GP. When it doesn't provide any kind of result, as my second test did, you've wasted what could be valuable time - and peace of mind. The good news the seller accepts returns so mine is going back today. I appreciate the returns policy. Hope this also clarifies the review for Amazon's community guardians. Third time (updated today Oct 15 '25) lucky = as a series of health hassles prompted me to give the latest test a run for my money. Negative. Clearly defined. I still tend to use a lancet as opposed to the fiddly ones enclosed - and you get all the blood you need for the test.
