Takes some getting used to but superb when you get there!
The media could not be loaded. I recently tried the 008 stick version of this controller (which itself is superb). This is the lever-less/'Mixbox' version of that controller and has all the same benefits.I'd wanted to try a mixbox for a while now. I recently made a DIY hitbox from an old controller (vid on YT with my messy results!). My reaction times and accuracy with that 'hitbox' style of controller was greatly enhanced - but I just couldn't get used to hitting jump with my thumb. Up shouldn't be down! And yes - what a difference a familiar layout makes; it feels so much more natural pressing an 'up arrow' to jump. If you've used WASD control you'll feel at home - the direction keys are just that - simply 4 cursor keys from a mechanical keyboard. Accuracy is second to none - a quick roll of the fingers across the keys makes setting up special moves a doddle. As with the 008 the buttons are also very light and responsive. A little too much travel maybe but they trigger early so a quick tap registers well. This controller works with tonnes of consoles (bar the PS5). PC, PS3 and Switch work straight out of the box - Xbox One/Series, PS4 and Xbox 360 work through plugging an original controller into the PXN X8, then plugging it into the console. No lag noticed at all.It also features an SOCD cleaner! By default this is set as 'second input priority'. This means if you hold left then press right at the same time - your character will move right. Let go of right and your character will move left. In real terms this means you can block, crank out a quick hadouken then go back to blocking! If you don't want that...er...advantage - then you can hold down L3+R3 for a few seconds to switch to cleaning mode. This time holding down left and pressing right will move your character right - letting go of right will register as no ongoing inputs. On a personal level though - I have to say that I do find using a mixbox a little less...satisfying I guess over a stick-based controller. Maybe this is just down to being old and using sticks since the 90s! I will definitely be toggling between the 2 types often. If you are on the fence I recommend (if you're on PC) trying a game using keyboard controls and see how that 'feels' to you first. But this is a superb controller with a big feature set - especially at the price - and can really give you an advantage. I even beat my high score on Pac-Man CE DX+ with this on my first go!/Andy

Responsive arcade stick
This arcade stick is good quality and it feels durable. We didn’t have any issues setting it up. The buttons are responsive and only need a light touch.
