Almost perfect for an ebony cane that would benefit from some tip protection. Leki rubber/plastic ferrules slip over the tip when installed and stop spike penetration or slippage on smooth surfaces - but this one has one star deducted as it is just too small for joining neatly to my stick. The 22mm version will do nicely but, as with most of these essential additions, the sellers seldom add minimum and maximum internal dimensions. Ho, hum - I'll keep this for a more slender staff and fit the bigger one when it arrives.
