This high quality cable was exactly what I needed. I purchased a moderately expensive low voltage lighting set that came with generic 14AWG direct burial cable. That would have been fine, but I needed to mount the transformer inside my basement, and since the cable passes into the interior of the house, it needs to pass the CL3 requirements for fire resistance. I contacted GearIT's Customer Service Department just to be sure the cable met the fire safety requirements, and also that it can be used for low voltage lighting (it's called speaker wire). The rep responded to my email immediately and cited the fire rating standards and confirmed the suitability for 12V landscape lighting and interior pass-through. She even gave me a few additional cautions about making sure I don't exceed a 15 amp load (transformer is 10 amp so I'm good on that), and also took the time to comment on my overall plan in terms of the number of cable runs and their length (which could cause voltage drop if they were too long). The cable arrived quickly and appears to be very high quality, with CL3 markings on the jacket and a small spec sheet showing the CL3 rating. Some people comment about the cable being too tightly coiled when it is removed from the spool, but I didn't encounter that issue at all. I'm really impressed with the GearIT product, and their Customer Service Department is one of the best I have ever dealt with!

After reading about a stiff jacket and tips on how to soften it, I was pleasantly surprised to have the cable be easy to route exactly as I needed. Maybe being in a hot delivery truck all day helped. Clearly a high quality cable. Works great.

This is an extremely well made speaker cable. The outer jacket is very durable but flexible, making it easy to route through and around installation obstacles. It’s also very cleanly finished, any visibly exposed sections in your installation will look professional and polished. The inner signal transfer cables are also high quality and work well with binding posts or separate banana plugs- the copper core is tight and resists fraying and splintering. I fully expect this cabling to outlast my current equipment and be installed again on future gear.

This cable was a bit stiff but its being used in a new club install so that wasn't a huge factor. The cable is definitely 12AWG and excellent quality. I bought two reels and had to run several speaker clusters as well as all monitor runs and the cable was excellent. The system fired up and everything sounded marvelous, no perceivable loss even on the 50' runs. An excellent buy and would definitely recommend. Suggestion would be to run your line out on a driveway or parking lot on a warn/hot sunny day and let the cable get more pliable.

Worked as one would expect. Easy to run. I love tge shielded wires. Pulls through walls and joists very easily. Good wire.

This is some awesome cable. Full copper, thick but pliable outer jacket and the single pair insulation is almost comparable to MTW. My only criticism, is the linear foot increments printed on the outer jacket starts at 100 feet. Like many other wire mfrs, typically the tag end starts at 1’. Doesn’t bother me as I’m going to pull what I need regardless plus some, but for some it may be useful to have your spools start at 1’. Im only sending 30w RMS through this 14-2 down a 70’ run between active outdoor speakers without a hiccup. I would recommend their product to everyone. Worth the little extra cost for sure.

used this cable to hook up my stereo and it worked great. good heavy-duty wire, i like the black cover, and price for the size roll was a good deal.

Nice quality!Used this to add speakers to the backyard. The wires run behind cedar hedges on the ground and approximately 30 feet away from the amplifier and the sound stayed loud and clear. I've had them for about a year without any issues. If you ask me, there's nothing to worry about. The insulation is very noticeable. Theses wires will last long outside.

I needed a decent amount of cable to power my garden speakers but was expecting something not as well made as this for the price. The cable cores are thick and strong. The insulation is high quality. Very happy with the sound it produces and durability.

The media could not be loaded. Ripped off was told I was buying 12 gauge (4mm) wire and its 14 gauge only 2.5mmAbsolutely useless to me thanks for the waste of 250 dollars

i like the high quality of the wires with the tough outer sleeve that will keep the wires protected from outdoor harsh conditions while keeping the signal transfer strong
