Works!
Although a bit pricey (IMO), this does the trick! I have a Linear garage door and twice a day (sunrise/sunset) the sun would get in the garage door sensor's eye causing it to not close. It was a real hassle. This is a simple solution that actually works. Recommended

So worth it!
These were super simple to just slide on and snap into place. No tools needed. Took all of 1 minute to install. My garage door now shuts every single time. I struggled for a couple of years with different DIY type solutions. Wish I had found these years ago. So worth the money!

Our house was struck by lightning in 2020, and we had to replace our garage motor and sensors. When they replaced the sensors, the new sensors didn't come with a sun shield. I looked all over for shields to fit and couldn't find them UNTIL NOW. I don't know who made these, but I want to be your friend, I want to sit next to you at lunch, etc. You get it. This has saved me from trying to close our garage doors and having to get out and manually close it and then come through the front door, lock it, etc. THANK YOU! They fit like a glove.

A solution to direct sunlight into the opener eye
I didn't know how to address the direct sunlight shining into the eye of the garage door safety light. I tried TP cardboard tubes, bending cardboard, even thought of relocating the eye to the side without direct sunlight. Then I saw this product on Amazon. It works amazingly and worth its cost. Couldn't be happier.

Exactly what was needed for my Linear garage sensors
Great fit, just like a printed object should be. Don’t forget to extend the cover away the lens, take care not to push the cover all the way back.

Maybe works a little
I installed per instructions. I still had to shade one eye during afternoon sun. My one sensor faces West-Nothwest and my garage door faces mostly south. Time will tell if the product is useful . I am located a little south of Cleveland, OH.

No more standing in front of the sensor to block the sun
Great product and does the job. Got tired of standing in front of the sensor when the suns on it. Tried using the toilet paper roll but did not work for me. Tried this instead and haven't had the garage door retract.

Didn’t work for me
Maybe the sun just can’t be outsmarted where I live, tried to adjust it different ways, just couldn’t get it to work.Product was strong and fit like a glove.
