I know what you're thinking. It's a chinese knockoff cube, it can't be as good as the name brand.It's not. It's way better. I've been cubing for years, trust me, this is the only cube I buy for beginners anymore. Right out of the box, it's stellar. It turns fluidly and easily, which is something that can't be said for the name brand cube. The hidden magnets inside make for really positive engagement on turns which can be really helpful for beginners. You don't have to know if you've lined it up for the next twist, the cube lines itself up as soon as you're close. There's no stickers to wear out and the cube is really tight and well constructed to last a literal lifetime. Again, the same can't be said about the name brand model.The best part though is that this is really a speedcube. It's got a lot of adjustability and is designed to come apart if you need to take it apart. Most cubers just learn to solve the cube and say "good enough" and this cube functions perfectly for that. Others will want to go further and figure out how to do the sub 30 second solves. Usually, they'll need to buy a new speedcube -- which aren't always good for beginners due to their looseness. With this cube, they can continue no matter where their cubing journey takes them.It's really just about the perfect cube.

If you are starting out or even dabbling in speed cubing, skip rubix and just get this. Really well made cube at a great price. Once you try the feel of this, you won't go back to the cheap toy store cubes.

A friend of mine got into Rubik’s cubes recently. I wanted to give him a better cube since I had been a speedcuber in high school.When I was last in the community, the Dayan Zanchi was the be-all-end-all of cubing technology. Turns out we were terribly wrong. This relatively cheap cube is leagues ahead of my Zanchi.I can easily recommend this cube to anyone who wants a nice, fast, and snappy cuing experience without spending a fortune.

I have 2 of these cubes now. I have to admit that I have never tried a more expensive cube, but I can’t imagine how they would be better. A professional might know the difference, but not me. My times average 1 min. 45 sec. solves. It is so smooth when I go back to a regular rubix cube I keep locking it up and how to go incredibly slow.

First, I am not a cube expert so I am not saying this cube is better/worse then other products.It does not get stuck and demand perfect alignment in order to turn, pivot, or change rapidly.I can only say that having had a number of official Rubic's Cubes and cheap or promotional knock-offs I was unhappy with those clunky and hard to use cubes. This is much better than those.I would recommend this for anyone "beginner" or intermediate- someone who wants play or learn Rubic's cube (more than 30 seconds and puts it down). BUT, as a gift for someone who is an expert and has a dozen specialist cubes and argues why one maker is better than another... and solves the puzzle in 30 seconds, etc. Those people are crazy and very picky, so I can't predict what they would like. :p

My 10 yr old son is a master at the “original” cube; looking for ways to challenge and stimulate his brain I stumbled across this alternative. He was so excited to receive it! It surpassed our expectations, came beautifully packaged and even includes a display stand which I found to be very thoughtful~This Cube is nothing short of pure Awesomeness!!Brain teaser for sure, fun and unique.I love the size of it~ it’s obvious a lot of thought was put into designing it. It’s perfect for kids and adults of all ages to use comfortably.It’s very well constructed and designed to last.With 6 of us in the house it has gotten lots of playtime and it still looks and functions like new.I’ve also found it to be a good fidget toy for my 6 year old to help him concentrate during his tutoring lessons.I highly recommend it
