7 Piece Assorted American Pattern File Set

Don't forget to buy the handle for these....then they're perfect!

Nothing fancy files. I have used these files on brass, black iron, and mild steel. They cut well and clean easily with a good brush. I have only had them for about six months but for a do-it-yourselfers and hobby machinist, they seem to do the job.

Quite large. Was hard to find handles that fit but once I did I was quite satisfied. Wish they would have included more smooth type files instead of mostly bastard types but for removing hard burrs fast these are perfect. The carrying case is amazing.

***update*** yes no safe edge but these are very good files.Have not even tried these files yet. They seem good just holding them and not bent like a wheeler set I have. But was disappointed that non of them have a safe edge. I’ll update this review once I’ve tried them

Actually 4 1/2 stars! Such a huge difference from discount and hardware store files. I only need a file now and then, having good ones sure makes a difference! Granted these aren't the top of the line, but still, they have a good bite!

Files seem to be high quality with the exception of the ends which seem to be oxidized
