Great experience (read review for my experience/advice)
I found this henna and indigo pack to be just what I needed. I ordered a few sets to have for when my hair has faded in time. I will say above all, I’m pleasantly surprised how my hair turned out and how it currently has maintained its shine and colour(even with washing in the shower with ordinary shampoo).*Please note that my review reflects how this method worked for MY hair type and method and it may result differently for other hair types/methods**also this mixture has a VERY strong smell, which you can not understand until you experience it so I recommend you wrap a pillow case in your head after the entire process is over to mask the smell while you wait for your first shampoo*I have attached photos of my hair before and after the henna. I started by using this amount of ingredients:196 grams indigo104 grams henna34.6 grams amla(you can buy this ingredient from the same seller)I used lemon juice (from the bottle you can get at supermarkets) and followed the process of how to allow henna to dye release. Mix the lemon juice and henna into a thick yogurt like consistency in a glass bowl and let sit for 8-10 hours. The next day when the henna is ready at about 10 hours being set, I mixed the amla with water in a separate glass bowl and then added into the bowl of henna. I used amla to help lessen the red tones and condition my hair.(BUT MY HAIR STILL HAS RED TONES, which I don’t mind at all)I then finally mixed the indigo with water and made sure it was not too runny to add to the henna mix before applying all over to my head with full saturation, making sure all hair was coated. Then I wrapped with some plastic wrap and a clear recycling bag to keep my hair moist and warm. Beware that due to heat and warmth in your hair, the hendigo mixture might drip down through the bag after you’ve had it on close to the finish tune, so make sure you wear clothing you don’t mind staining and have a cloth/towel ready Incase. After application, which took around 30-40 minutes I let sit for around 3 more hours And rinsed with ONLY water. To follow up this whole process I then let my hair sit naturally with no shampoo/conditioner or any product in my hair for a full 48 hours to let the colour reach its full potential to develop. As you can see, after the first rinse after application (with water) my hair looked dark brown but not too dark. Then it developed into a dark brown. After the 48 hours were up, I shampooed and conditioned and found that colour showed in the bottom of the shower but my colour still remained strong. For a week after, I would see colour in the shower and my hair still smelled of henna but I believe the smell is worth it for the natural and beautiful results it provides. It has faded a little over the last month and doesn’t show harsh lines like box dye did on my hair (in the past) and it’s so natural looking as it fades. I couldn’t be happier.I absolutely loved this brands organic henna and has no issues with it. I definitely achieved the results I wanted: to go darker, cover my few grays, and maintain healthy hair.

Amazing...here’s how I did it
I am so impressed. I had pure white roots and used properly it’s completely covered them and looks really natural. It’s even covered the fine white hair at the back by my neck that chemical dyes haven’t covered for years.I spent hours watching different dying processes on you tube first and finally went with this one...I mixed 100g of henna with 10 freshly squeezed lemons....I cheated and used my mini kitchen blender! Then I filled 3 squeezy bottles with the mixture and left it overnight by the radiator.Had to go to work the next day so from mixing I guess I left it just over 24hrs.I washed my hair with shampoo that morning but made sure I didn’t use conditioner.Putting the henna on was tricky...I thought I’d be able to use the squeezy bottles to direct the paste but it kind of clumps the hair together so I gave up with that method and more “mashed it in” next time I will use more lemons because maybe I made it too thick? It was the consistency of thick yogurt.I used the whole lot, I thought I’d have at least half left over as I was trying to cover just my roots but it didn’t happen that way and I used the whole lot! I then put a disposable shower cap on, put the hood up on my dressing gown, set a timer for 3 hours and watched a really bad film!It took a good 20 minutes and a bit of conditioner to get all the henna out but I got there in the end. It wasn’t as orange on my grey round the back as it was on top...I think next time I will leave it for 4 hours.I mixed the indigo powder with a bit of warm water and then just smushed it in and scrubbed it around, again I ended up using the whole 100g. Put the cap on with my hood again and fell asleep for 4 hours. Set a timer for the middle of the night, got up and washed it out...again I needed conditioner to get it out. It was after this at 3 in the morning I realised I hadn’t put any Vaseline around my hairline to protect my skin but my luck was in and there was no staining at all!Went to bed with wet hair and in the morning I was amazed! No grey, not a bit! Glorious jet black natural looking hair!*my hair went white all over when I was 14.I’ve been dying it with chemical dyes pretty much ever 10 days because when the white shows against black I look like a badger! This is the way forward for me but I need to find a way to apply it just to my roots so I don’t need to use so much. I’m sure the squeezy bottle would have worked better if I had a friend help. Conclusion - tricky, messy, time consuming but 100% worth the effort. I’m never using chemical dyes again.
