I've had this ASUS laptop for 9 years and the battery stopped working 2 years ago. I can still use it without a battery attached, as long as the laptop was plugged. I thought this was ASUS's tactic to force me to buy a new laptop. But lo and behold- Gomarty came in clutch. Instead of buying a $500 new laptop just for college, I only paid $35.80 for a new replacement battery. It arrived with a 73% battery charge.If you have the Asus Model GL551J, only purchase the 10.8V. Don't go higher than that, it's not compatible. I almost made a rookie mistake. THANKS GOMARTY! Now I can go to college without a worry. :)

The battery pack was simple to install, and came with about a 50 percent charge. The charger did the rest to bring it up to full capacity.

My old spare laptop only worked when plugged in, a sure sign the battery was dead. The ASUS notebook battery was the exact replacement, so far has held a 3 hour charge. I'll test it further, but this is a spare computer that I maintain periodically, so a three hour battery is excellent for the price. The screw drivers are a nice touch. One is a TORX which I didn't need, but still a nice touch.
