The unit operates as described. It is also accurate when compared to an old style rain gauge. Opportunities: in hindsight, I should have bought the upside version that has Internet connection do I can see the rain gauge electronically. The other comment is the instructions are complete, but not easy to find what you’re looking for. So read everything once you receive it do you can find the reset directions quickly. New Post: one downside is around the batteries. So far I’ve had to change the batteries about every 2-months. The unit only takes 2-AA in the rain gauge and 2-AA batteries in the receiver but I anticipated they would last longer. We do live in the South so temperature and rain extremes are common so this may be a contributing factor.

These were great... nicely made, seemed like they would be durable, nice big numbers, well packaged.. sadly I most have not measured correctly and they were too big.. I would have bought smaller from this vendor if they offered them

Replacement for glass gauge that cracked in ice storm.

So easy to read the gauge. Replaced the original tube and this one came with a brush to clean. Just slide the tube into holder, super easy. Looks very good in the back yard.

Would be a five star but the Temperature reads about 5 degrees too high, and is highly affected by direct sunlight, and it has to have to be “in the open” to catch rain. Rainfall readings are very good. I like the ability to read different “periods” of accumulation. A very good and simple way to read rainfall, for sure.

I’m quite excited with the 7” glass rain gauges. They arrived securely wrapped in plastic bubble wrap and nice large, clear numbers makes them easy to read. I was a little surprised when delivery date was on Sunday! But sure enough, l was not to be disappointed.

"plastic tube will not freeze crack" "There is no need to worry about freezing cracking in the winter" This is 100% false. I purchased this rain gauge, looks nice and I do like it, however it cracked the first winter. my 12 yr old did his best to crazy glue the crack. Time will tell if that works. if not, will prob order another one, but take in for the winter.

This rain gauge records double the amount actually received

This is only 24 1/2" tall when pushed into the ground. Not the advertised height. The metal rod is very small in diameter. Underwhelmed by this product.
