Love these bags for storage and sous vide!
We love these bags bc they are- reusable and easily washed w soap and water (less plastic waste!)- great for helping to make cheese/deli meats last far longer than when stored in zip lock- easy to use- perfect for portioning larger quantities of raw proteins from bulk store before freezing. Then right into sous vide from the freezer.Great quality product!

Very convient
So far so good. Just received this product. I used it just to trial for some sous vide carrots to see how it worked and it worked very well. I used it to store The leftovers and it worked great. As you can see from the picture, my twelve year old used it to have a little fun! I didn't realize at first to press the valve with finger after you're done sucking the air out. Then I read that in the directions. So as long as you read the directions it's fine. I just jumped right in!I plan To use this product more and get more versed with it as I'd like to cook more sous vide. Gonna try it out for freezing meat in portions too!

Some difficulty in getting a good enough seal on the bag. Have to work to get the securely closed.
Hard to get sealed but works as it should when you get it completely sealed at the opening.

Will use these alot
Love the bags and pump. Pump is a little hard to use at first but the more you use it it gets easier. I like to freeze a lot so these bags are great and they come in different sizes.

Defective item
The majority of the bags did not work. I was not able to remove the air, and that is the main function of this product. I asked merchant for assistance and NEVER received a response. I was also unable to return this product.

Does not maintain vacuum seal, valve separates from bag
The thin plastic valve does not maintain a seal and sometimes separates from the bag. The bag has a small hole over which the simple valve is placed using adhesive. It may work for short-term storage, but the adhesive-based valve sticker has not been trustworthy for more than a few weeks in my experience. The company contacted me and offered a replacement or refund, along with an eagerness to solve the problem. Good customer service is worth a lot. These bags use quality plastic that imparts no taste to food, including delicate chocolate. But the valve design still is not reliable even after rubbing to verify the seal and no air bubbles after vacuuming. I also think the price is too high when compared with bags that use more robust valve designs for a slightly higher price. All that considered, I think 3 stars is a fair rating.

Good products
I got the manual and electric pumps and extra bags. I have used it to store dehydrated food. All works well- the pumps can be a bit finicky to seal. Don’t use the bags for dehydrated grated potatoes as they are sharp and poke pinholes when all the air is vacuumed out. Satisfied with this product.

These bags are good for so many uses.
However, from the reviews that I have read, I would not use them as waterproof bags for documents or car key fobs. It seems that the valve might leak when under water. They are designed for using in sous vide cookers. The instructions specifically say to keep the valve above water. I have not used them for sous vide yet. But the very expensive silicone bags that I bought from another company specifically for sous vide were destroyed after one use. I think that this plastic will hold out better is sous vide. I will be trying them next. Right now, I am using these bags to vacuum pack and seal dehydrated food for backpacking. They are holding the seal well. However, I am taking the manual pump with me in the event that a bag does let out air. I don't think I'll need it but I'll take it. Vacuum sealing does help to keep aromas in and animals from finding food hung in bags. These bags have reduced the volume of some of the dried food like dried apples by at least 3/4 as well as protecting them from humidity.

Read this if the valves don't seem to work
I read a couple of reviews saying that some of the valves, if not all, were sealed shut, allowing no air to come out, rendering the bags unusable. I thought those review were perhaps the exception, so I purchased the bags anyways. First 4 bags I tried seemed to have that exact problem: I placed my pump over the valve, and no air would come out. After fiddling around, I think I've found a quick fix, easier and less riskier than others I've seen in the comments, which were to puncture holes around the valve. My fix worked with the 4 bags I've tried it on. Here it is:1. I wiggled the bag between my fingers where the valve is for a couple of seconds. It might have helped unstick the parts that are supposed to lift during the suction process.2. I did not place the pump exactly at the enter of the green ring of the valve. I've found that placing the pump over the tiny wavy lines that are on the green rings helped. BUT, I always made sure that the transparent hole in the middle of the green ring was fully inside the pumping area. If it didn't work right away, I simply lifted the pump, and moved it a around a little bit each time, around the green ring. I eventually ended up finding a spot where the air would come out. I needed to pay close attention because sometimes, the air wouldn't seem to be coming out, but it actually was, only very slowly3. If step 1 and 2 didn't' work on my first try, I re-did a second time. The reason why gave those bag 5 stars despite the fact that a little fiddling might be required for the valves to work, is that I couldn't really find any other bags with those types of valves. If I hadn't found those, the pump I have would have become useless. So better that than nothing I guess.
