The choice of Daniel Smith's watercolour paints
I have been watercolour painting only for about four years but since changing to Daniel Smith's l feel my paintings are so vibrant and especially the skies jump off the page,l now only use them and won't use any other make a tiny bit expensive but seems to go a long way.

splendid colour
It passed the tiny blob, gin, fingertip and invoice paper test very well. Good colour, nice density and formulation, adaptable from dry on dry to faint wet in wet, smooth or granulated seem to work. It will be fine on 680gm paper, it should mix with other good pigments. Thanks.

Beautiful paint, but expensive
A fabulous highly granulating paint but likely to granulate your bank account - it's expensive!! Gorgeous used alone, or blended with staining watercolours, especially the brightly pigmented ones, giving a beautiful dulled down grungey effect. I'd have given it 5* if it wasn't for the price.

Lovely shade...
I bought this paint on advisement to create a particular, one-pigment landscape painting and it was absolutely perfect. It granulates slightly and splits occasionally showing deep oranges and turquoise hues when used wet-into-wet. Outstanding quality paint, as you would expect from Daniel Smith. Definitely one for the armoury.

Excellent and very smooth
A bit expensive but you get what you pay for. This is an excellent mixer and a great addition to basic palette.

This is a very beautiful color that works well on its own or when combined with other colors. It mixes well with other brands and adds a shimmery sparkle to whatever you’re painting.

Very beautiful warm, muted beige. I already finished my first tube and this is my second purchase
