It fits and replaces the top portion of my old HOOV-R-LINE Model 8121-1AS ASSE 1002 toilet fill valve which became slow to fill and took a really long time to really shut the water (thru 20+ years use). The build quality of the Plumb Pak PP830-22 looks okay. However, the angle of the part that attaches the metal rod is a little different to the original one, that I have to bend the metal rod to make the floating ball not to touch the wall of the tank (refer the picture). It came with 2 rubber plates, one is a little smaller than the other, and both fit. (I believe the plate is used to regulate the volume of the water and reduce the noise of it? In fact, it may still work without the plate. It is good have one more as a spare. It is the cylinder-shape valve in the middle that with the rubber seal and rubber ring that age and need to replace.) It is very easy to replace. No need to replace the whole fill valve. Hope it lasts.

This is okay. It's a Plump Pak. Includes the cap, piston, gasket and screws. Problem is that it is intended to fit several models and the cap is different from the Hoov-R-line of several decades ago, which had the float arm coming off at a different angle. So if you just replace as the instructions say, you'll either have to turn the whole fill valve or bend the float arm in order to miss the fill tube. You can tho probably just replace the piston (which I did) and gasket and reuse the old screws to prevent stripping. I like Hoov-R-Line ballcocks. They'll last decades, have no issues and only need replacement parts like this every 10-20 years.

I was able to fix my old toilet ballcock system very inexpensively. Instead of replacing the entire unit, I was able to fix the required part that was worn out. The install was easy, the pieces fix like factory, and the toilet fill valve functions like new. The fix took about 5 minutes. Overall, I am very happy with the repair kit and will gladly purchase more if required for my other bathrooms.

Much less expensive and less work than replacing to entire flushing assembly. Only 4 screws to remove and less than 5 minutes work.
