I like this alarm, however, the sound could be louder and the activation could be made more secure. Presently, whenever the outer body unintentionally slides out, it starts to alarm out of my pocket bringing me to a surprising disarray.

I live in relatively safe neighborhood that always has a lot of cars going by the main street, but over the last couple of years, there have been a lot more incidents occurring. I hear sirens and see police cars far more often then I used to.I walk my dog several times a day, and although I feel safe (lots of dogs in the neighborhood) the area seems to slowly be getting worse and worse with homeless and crime.I don't like to carry my phone on me on walks, so I wanted a small personal alarm I could keep attached to my dog leash. And this item is perfect! It's light-weight but don't let that fool you! Between the sound (140db) and flashing led lights, this little guy packs a punch that will definitely scare off someone AND get the attention of others! The top portion comes out of the main body to activate and you do have to give it some pull to separate but I think this is a good thing. It's hard enough so I won't accidentally pull it (especially being on my dog's leash), but easiest enough that my 70+ year old mom can easily activate it. The top portion slides back in to the body to stop the alarm and lights.Very happy with my purchase! And love the color!!

It makes a clicking sound. No alarm. Imagine if I went to use it in a time of need and it doesnt work.

Bought this for myself and my daughter. The sound is not that loud. In a crowded area it may scare someone off, but in a residential area not sure it would scare anyone. The past few mornings leaving for work it has detached from my keys and has gone off. No one even was startled. It does seem to detach easily from my key chain.

This is a very nice device that is compact but very loud! It comes in a package of 2. It was perfect for me since I have 2 high school age girls. I believe that it would definitely be loud enough to scare anyone away. The ring to hold it on to a purse or bookbag is about the same size as the device. I am not one that gives a rating of "5" often but there is no reason to give this less than 5. I gave it as a Christmas gift and both of my girls attached it to their personal bags. Great gift and great extra piece of mind for a father!

I am not very impressed with this product because of the ease with which the cover comes off. Too many times I embarrassed myself at the grocery store when I reached over a high shelf, only to have the alarm activated because the cover hit something just right to pop the top off and activate the alarm. I wish there had been some kind of latch holding the cover more firmly in the off position.

I like that it is loud and definitely gets attention. However, I believe it could be tougher to pull. I had it in my pocket at the grocery store and accidentally pulled it. It worked everyone looked at me!! 🤣
