Really helps impulse control!!
I have a seriously obsessive barker. I used to think I’d never use a shock collar until I adopted my 2 yr old rescue pup who barks incessantly with that shrill English Pointer type howl at EVERYTHING from people walking by, to the ice maker dropping ice, to wind. Yes, wind. So much of my day is consumed with convincing her that we are not about to be murdered by the birds in the tree. She has no impulse control. We’ve been relentlessly trying to curve the barking with training, but 18 months later, she still sounds like Cujo whenever she sees or hears anything. (All bark, no bite. She’s truly a lovebug but she won’t tell you that) she’s a bit of a drama queen to say the least. We’ve owned this collar for 5 days and OMG what a different! This is the 4th collar I’ve tried. I started with the remote control training collars, which are effective but require me to be within line of sight of her and correct the behavior as soon as it happens. While great in theory, doesn’t work out that way often enough. By the time I could get the remote, wake or from sleep mode, make sure the setting is where it needs to be... she’s already losing her mind for at least a minute or more and the barkfest in hard to pull her out of. The correction is not immediate enough. Other auto-collars seem too sensitive and would activate when she yawned or even went up and down the stairs. I have the sensitivity set on the lowest setting and haven’t heard any rouge activation beeps. This Moosh collar is triely a life saver. It took her exactly two psychotic barking rants to realize what was going on. She shocked herself, she made a slight whimper but otherwise seemed unscathed. It didn’t seem to hurt her as much as it annoyed her enough to distract from the episode before it could get out of hand. She barks once and it beeps immediately without a shock and that has been enough reminder for her that she needs to “be nice”. There have been a few times where her impulse has gotten the best of her and she’s let off 2-3 barks (it doesn’t shock until the third time and starts over again after one solid minute of “rest”) but she’s been able to quickly pull herself together and calm down. She’s been so quiet, it’s like night and day. I do like that she has two opportunities to let a bark out before there is any repercussions. This allows her to have some voice still (she is a dog after all, and dogs bark), but not go totally insane because the mail came. This is not rechargeable. That would be a nice upgrade but it’s not a deal breaker. Other reviews said the battery only last a month. I can’t speak to the longevity because it’s only been a few days, and while I’m sure my neighbors would gladly buy me a lifetime supply of battery in exchange for the newfound quietness of my girl , I bought a 10 pack for under $11 on Amazon. If I have to do that once a year, it’s worth it. This has made such an impact that I’d buy a whole new collar monthly if it was necessary. It helps that much.My dog doesn’t fear the collar at all and happily lets me put it on her before she goes out in the yard. It’s low profile and not bulky or heavy. I don’t even think its even as tight on her as is recommended. She doesn’t seem uncomfortable wearing it.She mostly wears it outside because that’s when the impulses take over the most. It’s been used occasionally inside when the front door is open and she can see out glass storm door. I can now open the door without the dog constantly going apesh*t. I’ve even had her outside a few times without the collar and she must have forgot she doesn’t have it on because she’s been noticeably quieter. Hopefully one day she won’t need it at all, but for now, it’s working so well. She seems to be learning, which is amazing considering in just 5 days she’s learned more self control than 18 months of training could even come close to.I have shocked myself with it on purpose (because I think that’s only fair to know what I’m subjecting her to) and I wouldn’t say it doesn’t “hurt”. It definitely bites you, but I would not call it inhumane. It’s not so much painful , but it gets your attention for sure. My dog is about 60lbs and doesn’t seem to cause her pain. She doesn’t cry or yelp. She simply quiets down and continues on her way. It may be a bit much for smaller breeds. I recommend testing it on yourself first. Now if only I could purchase one of these for my boyfriend, my life would be complete.

Definitely works and is worth the purchase!
I have 2 of these and they are more than worth the low price tag! It has several settings so you can be sure that your pup is safe. The reason for 4 stars even though I LOVE it is because of the short battery life but if you can remember to remove the battery when you take it off your pupper then that will help prolong it greatly. But even if you don't remember to take out the battery you can get a 10pk for less than $7 with this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EB6CS6M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Worked well...for a week.
Bought on July 13th. After a week’s use (with positive results) the product stopped working. Just getting a low hum from the product. We bought new batteries and replaced it, but are having the same issue.

It takes a stupid little battery though
Moosh Anti-Barking Training Collar - works well after fidgeting with the setting for a few days. The battery that it came with eventually died, which is to be expected. It takes a stupid little battery though. If you're going to order this collar, order replacement batteries while you're at it. This takes 4LR44 6v. Luckily, they aren't expensive. I ordered a rechargeable collar for out bigger dog because of this annoyance.

Does not shock dog still barks. Only makes noise.
Did not come with a battery or test light. Also does not shock only makes a loud beeping noise dog continues to bark.

Finally don’t have to worry about barking waking up our newborn.
As our toy poodle has gotten older, he has started barking at anything that moves. With a newborn in the house, the barking became a real problem. We had tried other methods to stop his barking, like citronella collars, but nothing worked. A friend recommended the Moosh collar, and we decided to give it a try. I set the sensitivity really low, and tried it out. The collar provides more of a buzz than a shock, and it doesnt hurt when you try it on bare skin. When UPS came to deliver a package, our dog barked as expected. The first warning beep distracted him, and the longer second beep made him pause again. When he kept barking, the very first short buzz made him stop and look around. Within a few days, the warning beep was enough to remind him not to bark. In the few weeks we’ve had the Moosh collar, we rarely hear the beeping, and our dog has all but forgotten he is wearing it. He seems just as happy not barking, and we don’t have to worry about the barking waking up our newborn. It’s worked so well, I’ll probably be getting a Moosh collar for any friends who are expecting a baby, and have dogs.

Recommend this bark collar
I have a rescue dog that barked excessively. I have purchased other bark collars that were somewhat effective, but they did not last. She's an active dog and other collars didn't hold up. This is the first bark collar that was worth the money! It has held up well, and has effectively and humanely controlled my dog's barking. Fit was good on a medium sized dog.

Perfect sound and shock bark collar for small dogs
I searched for hours and hours trying to find the smallest, most affordable bark collar. After reading many reviews, I decided that the "no shock" version wasn't going to cut it. This collar had mixed reviews but the size of the unit was small enough for my puppy (6 lbs) so I decided to give it a try. So glad I did! This collar beeps twice then on the third bark produces the first shock. I have to admit, the first time my dog got shocked was scary. He continued to bark out of panic and kept getting shocked. After taking it off and him learning what had happened, he doesn't dare test it again. You can set the sensitivity on the collar which is nice if you have a small dog. It also comes with two sized prongs. As soon as the collar goes on, my dog knows what's up. This has saved me countless hours of uninterrupted sleep! Worth the buy!
