I'm a size small (38 chest), and got this size 40 (the smallest available) because many reviews said to order 2 sizes larger. My idea was to use it with just a t shirt in summer (I live in Ireland, it rains). But I find it's actually a size 40, very true to size, and it on me it fits like a large.I thought about sending it back, but I actually really like the way it's sitting over a leather jacket or something of equivalent size. And I really love the quality and style of this coat - I'm a retail salesman, I see a lot of great clothes and a lot of crap. Except for the buckles, they look cheap.Made a few modifications myself: got rid of belt and cuffs and replaced it with my doggo's neck chain (may she rest in peace) and took out the right shoulder thingy to even out the asymetry caused by the right chest flap.Spot on.Looks like I'm keeping it.

Very good trench coat. Well made and very good proportioned. Only drawback it is not consistent with the size chart.I'm 48 chest so ordered a 44 as per chart. Far too small so reordered two sizes bigger 48. This was ok if only a tee shirt underneath a 50 would probably have been ok but largest size 48 although a size 50 on the chart. Value for money and stylish if only the correct size.

This is a close, but no cigar sort of trenchcoat. It is exceptional VFM.some good points, and then I will give some areas of improvement that the maker could pay attention to:Pros.Cross stitched buttons.Storm flap (also mistakenly known as a gun flap)A generous fan tail with a retaining button (Stop your saddle getting wet)Flapped front pockets (stop the rain getting in)Inside retaining button/French Bearer.Good gabardine fabric Rain cape.Adjustable Storm cuffsSword loops/D rings (not brass)Minor points.——————No bemberg shoulder lining for ease on and off.No deep poacher’s pockets accessible through the main outer pockets like Burberry or Aquascutum have.The belt buckle and D rings are a little insubstantial compared to the solid brass ones in more expensive brands but not a huge big deal.Not ankle length like the Burberry “Westminster” which is essential in protecting the legs from storms or mud.The French bearer does not really have a thread stalk and is in a slightly odd place.Major minor point is the lack of anchor buttons on the insideCould do with a dark, navy blue or a Air Force blue like Burberry again. Khaki coloured trenchcoats look lovely but they get filthy quickly. To avoid this get the blackIn rainstorms with shorter raincoats, I am often left with soaked through legs from the knee downwards, particularly when it is blustery.Saying all this, it is still superb value, and this is a manufacturer to watch one for your favourites list.Let us hope that they maintain their quality and they do not adulterate their clothes with plastic such as nylon and polyester

Nice enough coat, just let down by cheap buckles and pockets that need to be deeper so phones and keys don’t fall out when sitting down.

I have searched for a long time for a decent long trench coat. I have bought many cheap ones which have been disappointing so I decided to pay out a bit more and go for a more expensive one in the hopes of finding my perfect coat. I decided to write a review for this coat because it only has 1 and I felt it deserved a good review so others can form an opinion about this coat.I think that many clothing makers/sellers on Amazon don't realize how powerful a picture of a 'real' person wearing a coat/clothing can be to help us decide if we like it. It helps us gauge the size and how it will look (in this case for me I was focused on the length of the coat etc).The fabric is smooth, light and as described water resistant (The rain rolls right off) and because the fabric is light and not too thick it dries very quickly too. It isn't bulky and is very comfortable to wear.I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a cool looking long coat which is also practical too. It has many generous pockets which are deep and have buttons to secure them. The quality is excellent and you can definitely tell a lot of work has gone into the planning and creation of these coats. My only negative would be the belt, it tends to fold over itself and become twisted if its not used so I just took it off.

Size. - On the site they state "IF You Plan to Wear The Coat Over A Jacket, Please Choose The Same As Your Usual Jacket Size." I did this and it is a really good fit, - I am a bit portly, but have thin(ish) arms. Im so happy it fits well.Buttons - why aren't the buttons finished off properly?Warmth - I find this warm enough for UK winter, but not for going out in really wet windy conditions, after all, its a fashion trench coat, not artic wet weather gear! Its fine for the 20 minute walk from the tube to the office, but I wouldn't wear it for going for a walk in the country in the snow without some fleece underneath.

Superb coat. Would have expected it to be standard quality due to the price but it's stunning. Ordered 1 size larger than my normal chest size and it fits over a suit.Wish they did it in another colour.

Really amazed by this coat, it's hard to find long men's coats that reach just past the knees. Mostly these days it has gone out of fashion since the 1970s, I have always wanted one and love this style of clothing.When I received the product I was very impressed with the style and condition, it's also just the right fabric I wanted and fits nicely. Really impressed by the make and recommend buying. However these coats are hard to come by and are expensive but if you want a coat for great quality really recommend this one.

This coat really exceeded my expectations. I was going to get the trench coat from Coach, but it looked a bit too heavy more like an overcoat. I really like the style, fit and material of this one. I wear a size M shirt, and the sz40 fits perfectly. I am 5'9 though, so I did find the coat to be quite long, and had a tailor remove 5 inches from the bottom

Great Coat

Die Qualität und Verarbeitung waren sehr gut. Hätte den Mantel gerne behalten, er war aber leider zu klein und in meiner erforderlichen Größe nicht verfügbar ist.

Produkt entsprach in Material und Qualität voll den Erwartungen.Schnitt jedoch sehr schmal / schlank. Beim Vergleich mit der hinterlegten Größentabelle müssen die Messungen unter Berücksichtigung der unter dem Mantel getragenen Kleidung vorgenommen werden. Daher musste ich den Mantel zwei Nummern größer bestellen als sonst notwendig. Der schmale / schlanke Schnitt sorgt jedoch auch in der höheren Konfektionsgröße für einen guten Sitz. Der Mantel ist zwar im Schulterbereich immer noch etwas knapp, aber eine noch höhere Konfektionsgröße hätte bei Armlänge und Taille zu anderen, teilweise größeren Problemen geführt. Da ich jedoch seit Jahren aktiver Sportler bin und aus diesem Grund über einen sehr gut gebauten Brustkorb mit breiten Schultern und einer schmalen Taille verfüge, bin ich mit dem Problem von knapp sitzenden Kleidungsstücke im Schulterbereich durchaus vertraut. Bei einem normal trainierten Menschen dürfte die leichte Enge im Schulterbereich nicht auftreten.Über die langfristigen Trageeigenschaften kann ich selbstverständlich noch keine Angaben machen.
