fireclay all the way! Dont settle for cheap sinks or other materials. Get the good stuff
good brand, sturdy/heavy sink will last a long time. Remember you will need thicker drains to connect to the bottom because this is clay not stainless steel

30" Bocchi fireclay sink
I love this sink! We've had it about 7 months now. We got the "smaller" one (30") and always keep the drain rack in it, which I love for hand washing items and set to the side. Even with stuff in the drain rack, you still have plenty of room for using the sink and washing dishes/draining pasta/etc. It's a deep basin (10") and I absolutely love the space to work.You will need to replace the silicone pieces that cover the feet on the metal rack, they get gross. We replaced ours about 6 months in. No biggie. Also, I do scrub the rack on both sides and the basin every so often. The basin does get (very) slight discoloration, but nothing that doesn't come off easily with a quick scrub down. I use dish soap usually and then every so often The Pink Stuff works amazing.

Missing grid
I love the look of this sink. It takes a bit to rinse as crumbs stay in sink unless you use sprayer to rinse. My sink was delivered without the protective grid which you really need with these type sinks. Mamufacter has not responded to ship or let me purchase. I'm a bit frustrated.

Looks great
Looks great and seems durable. It's very heavy which is usually a good sign. There are small "waves" in the front that show if you have sun coming in from the side. I outfit mine with an "insinkerator" garbage disposer and it does not leak at all. I would buy the same one again.

1.5 years later still looks like new
Looks great, hasn't scratched, finish still in perfect condition after 1.5 years. Minor complaint that the rubber feet on the grate get nasty and are hard to clean. I took them off and testing to see if the bare metal scratches the finish. So far no problem. We do spend a lot of time rinsing out the bottom--generally its best to just lift the grate and wipe the bits into the drain. I bought a dark bronze drain from Kohler and have a gold tone faucet. Definitely a focal point in my kitchen remodel.

Sink measured 33 1/2 inch in length
We love our sink. The installation was very difficult due to the length discrepancy. A 33-inch sink should fit in a 36-inch cabinet. However, a 33 ½ inch sink installation becomes more complicated. Which is the length of our sink. We measured it over and over and sure enough 33 ½. Now you must cut out ¼ of an inch of the face frame stile. When you have hardwood cabinets like a maple it can split or crack. Use extra caution, painters’ tape, score your finish and make sure you have a sharp blade.

Gray Sink Color is Not as Shown in Picture
Be advised if you order what they describe as matte gray that it is much much lighter than pictured.I ordered it and and am pretty certain I was sent the color biscuit. When my kitchen was remodeled and the sink put next to my medium gray cabinets it was pretty obvious the mistake and did not look good at all. It was nothing like the picture. It was a few months past the return window (due to a delay in my remodel due to Covid) when I contacted Amazon to return it and I had to order the same sink but in white as the drain opening had already been made in my new cabinet. I appreciate that it could still be returned but I had to pay a $72 restocking fee. Again the sink I received looked like the picture in shape and design only.....it was NOT dark gray as shown. I was very disappointed as I would have much preferred the dark gray over white. I did then reorder in the white and I do really like the sink ,however I do not like the sink grid which is included. Anything small which I put in the sink falls through the wires - they are too wide. I ended up ordering another sink grid with smaller openings and they are not cheap.

Wonky Uneven sizing, one side warped
In aesthetic terms, this sink was exactly what I was looking for, for my new kitchen reno. The price was amazingly low for the size of a fireclay double sink. Was I wrong to try and save money by buying an inferior quality product! My carpenter has spent hours adjusting his building around the sink to try and make it fit - hours. And still there are gaps of different widths. I have not saved any money at all and may still not get a properly fitting sink. And my carpenter is deeply frustrated. How I wish I could return badly made product!

Looks great, but the bottom is so flat that food debris doesn't drain properly
I installed this in an Ikea sink cabinet after modifying and reinforcing the cabinet.It looks very nice in our 180 year old farmhouse kitchen.However, after living with this for about a year now I have two big complaints:- the feet of the steel grate sink insert impede food debris from washing into the strainer - not a huge problem as you can always just lift the grate, but it gets old after the first few hundred times, especially if you're soaking a pan in the sink and need to lift that as well...- this problem is compounded by the lack of downward slope in the bottom of the sink - you spend several minutes a day washing gunk on the bottom of the sink into the strainer because it won't get there on it's own during normal draining of the sink. The sink needs a little slope towards the drain to be more effective. And because the gunk just sits on the sink bottom, it has lots of time to stain the sink which needs extra cleaning to polish out.It's a nice sink overall, and we've had lots of positive comments. But be prepared to spend more time cleaning this sink than any other you've had. I don't actually remember cleaning the old stainless sink ever - just a wipe down every now and then. With this sink, you'll end up using something like turtle wax to keep it as stain resistant as possible otherwise it will get discoloured.
