Silhouette Heat Pen Set- Foil Transfer - for use with Cameo 5, Curio 2 and Portrait 4

Using this on my Silhouette Portrait 4. It works great! So easy to use and adds that something special and shiny to any project! And who doesn't love that?! The picture is the first time using it straight out of the box.

We all know that there’s a learning curve with all things Silhouette, and the information out there on how to use some of the tools isn’t great. There are a few videos on YouTube that helped me figure out how to use this tool, but I couldn’t for the life of me get my machine to register it. Welp, just like a lot of technology, I just had to turn my Cameo off and back on again 😂 so, make sure you install this tool before you turn on your machine.I don’t love the foil that comes with it (the gold is way too yellow and 3” wide kind of sucks) but I found another product on Amazon I love that’s 4” wide instead of 3” and 400 feet long (search “light gold heat transfer foil”)You do need to allow some extra foil on all sides and tape your foil pretty taut as well, but after some trial and error, the results are really great! I’m looking forward to more foiling projects in the future.

I didn't like them at first because they took forever. I had used the foil quill before and thought these would be the same. I didn't realize you needed to set them as specialty tools. Now that I figured that out, these are great! I love that I don't have to tape cords so they don't drag under the rollers anymore! They're the reason I bought the cameo 5 and are worth it for me!

Very easy to use, great quality results. Looks professional and really adds to the designs you can make. So far the foil that comes with this set has had the best results.

This tool came with no instructions, and I’ve went on YouTube and watched a few ideas and none of them really work. One of them cut my foil. One of them didn’t show the proper placement. They need Kelly Wayman to do a detailed video on YouTube videoI’m thinking about returning mine because it’s no good to me if I can’t figure out how to use it
