Q: can this be used to deal with drain flies?

Not sure to be honest, but if one imagines that 'flies' normally appear when there is rotting/decomposing organic material - then once this is removed in whatever format, then again, one imagines that the 'fly' issue should also disappear. But then nature is a strange animal???

Q: Is it safe to use with a macerator? The bath pipe to the macerator is blocked.

Have not used the product in the way suggested, however macerators to my knowledge are made from sturdy plastics and metal blades (likely steel) which would be similar to baths and waste-pipes etc. so the product is likely to work just as well here...? The biological material does not appear harsh enough to diminish such materials - at least not those in my home? Thanks.

Q: A capful dose will just sit overnight in the U trap. Mine is clear. What dose to reach the slow draining pipes beyond?

I followed the instructions on the bottle and put half the contents down. I did this twice over a few days while not using the sink and it made no difference at all ☹️
