I use this ontop of my Ram Truck when I am out and about doing Storm Spotting or warning others of hazards in the area. This is a small foot print light and can be scene during the day pretty good. Like the full 360 and angled corner lights on 45 degrees. Wish it had a slow single wig wag pattern but that's ok - not a bad light and has a decent length to the power cable. Its survived high winds and faster highway speeds.

Very bright seems to be a good bar only had to use it once so far but seems to be well built Wish the wire to the cigarette lighter was longer

Compact design, cord about 2’ longer would help.

Bright and compact.UPDATE:I’ve used these lights for about 50 -60000 miles now I’ve had to replace one light due to water damage now I have to replace another light from water damage.Not worth the money IMO.

The media could not be loaded.  Perfect size and build quality on the outside but after 2 months on the top of my digger, roughly 160 hours half of the led’s have stopped working inside it.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this to replace a low profile beacon that stopped working due to the cable breaking in several places. Shouldn't be an issue with this one as the cable looks good quality. The light is very bright, the attached video was shot in bright sunshine and you can see it clearly. It has four magnets on the base ensuring the light bar will not move - I've been at motorway speeds without any problem. You actually need two hands to pull it off the roof!Very pleased with the product overall, I regularly visit construction sites where beacons are mandatory and this fits the purpose very well - strongly recommended.

Short review: So far I'm super impressed with it.The actual review,About the magnetsI need two hands to remove this thing from the top of my car. 24 super strong magnets divided in, not 2 but, 4 corner pods. Maybe by one hand if I grab it at the right place in the middle, but you get the point. That thing is not going anywhere.About the rubber sleevesYes, rubber sleeves underneath the 4 pods. There are no flimsy pieces of tape here. Bonus point for the design as they can't fall off. Good quality and they do the intended job of protecting the top of your vehicle.About the mounting threadsThat's not something I was expecting at that price but there are brass mounting threads underneath. They don't go inside the unit (which is a good thing), the brass sleeves are kind of anchored into the thick and robust bottom casing. I don't think they are of the type where you use a wrench and tighten like crazy. I just see them as extra security anchors -if- your intended usage really calls for it (on top of already super strong magnets). Just hand tighten with a dab of blue sealant such as Loctite and you should be set. There were no mounting bolts but you can find these anywhere for pennies.About the brightnessI completely agree with other reviews that it falls into the brighter end of an SAE Class 2 (a.k.a "friking bright") although not specified on paper for this model. To the few who said "it could be brighter", well it's not a full-fledged 50 inch wide roadside utility vehicle light bar, it's 12 inches wide and for that size it is insanely bright. Want to be seen at night, for well over 1.5 km (1 mile) if your car fails on the side of a road? Buy this. And you will still get noticed during the day although not at these distances.About its shape and 360 visibilitySuper slim (I really like that aspect), slick looking, the best hybrid version of a round beacon and light bar as the front and back transition to the sides via leds at 45 degree angles in the corners.About its dimensionsForget about the displayed image that says the item is 12 inches by 3.14 when looking at it from the top. 3.14 inches itself doesn't make sense just by looking at it. It is 12 inches by 7 and 1/8 of an inch. Makes more sense now right?About quality and durabilityAlthough slim, it's heavy, has a thick, robust casing, there are no loose, moving or creaking parts, and there are no cheap tiny exposed metal screws that will rust. There is a gasket to seal the bottom hole where the cable enters the unit. Although the gasket does not seem tight, I can see some sort of stopper on the inside so you can't damage it by pulling on the cable. How durable it is? Can't say, didn't have it for long. Could water and moisture enter inside? Potentially yes, it's rated IP66, so waterproof but definitely not submersible. If you want to leave this outside in rain, snow and sun all year long then maybe you should seal the cable entrance and gasket with with a dab of silicone for additional protection..About the patternsWhat can I say, they really attract attention and make you visible. With 12 patterns I got more than I need, including the always on option which really illuminates the entire area - I am surprised at how handy this is.And the cable?Nine feet. Good for me. If you shared that it's too short then perhaps you should have read the specs before buying (you can always add an extension).Getting to the end... about the boxAh the box, so many people are giving bad reviews about the box. The box is not the problem. That box is meant to be on a shelf in a store and it is solid, but the item in it is heavy. What Amazon does is put it in a much larger box with absolutely no padding of any kind (I had 1, and I mean one, tiny air bag in the big Amazon box). As you can imagine the light bar got thrown around. The tiny air bag didn't stand a chance and what I got is a pretty good banged up item (but as I said, that thing is robust, no issues to report).ConclusionSuper satisfied with it. I've bought a few beacons in the past. I now realize that these are waaayyy overpriced to start with and if you are willing to spend just a little bit more you move to a completely different ball game in terms of quality (especially with this model). And forget about circular beacons for anything that requires you to be seen at long distances. You'll read words like "powerful", "60 Watts" and such (FYI watts alone don't mean noting when it comes to deciding which one to buy). Beacons only point in one direction (meaning every light around it is shooting in different direction). Rooftop light bars (even as short as this one) give you multiple leds shooting together in the same direction (much more powerful when the goal to be seen from the front or back - and this one covers 360 amazingly as well).

If you’re looking for a low profile, safety beacon, this is the one to pick up as it is visible from the front and back vehicle.I mounted the light on my back rack, using the threaded mounts provided in the housing. The mounts are 8 inches from centre to center, so I drilled my two holes in the rack, put spacers on the bottom of the housing and bolted the unit together. Remember to use Loctite and don’t over tighten as I was afraid the threads might break from the plastic housing.The light also comes with four strong magnet mounts with rubber boots. Do not scratch the vehicles paint.

This seems very well built and robust, really strong magnets so far not had any problems with it moving or coming off, and incredibly bright will definitely get you seen.
